This song brought tears to this old guy’s eyes. It demonstrates the good in the world and how united we really are. What the news media shows is not what is really happening. In reality the overwhelming evil in the world and non stop effort to divide us by race, class, income etc is failing miserably. I have been watching reaction videos of young people from all over the world listening to music from the 60s and 70s and the common theme is amazement and appreciation. Those decades were much like today and our music brought us together despite every effort by “The Man” to drive us apart. We carried each other’s load and that made all the difference. Blessings to each and every one of you.
Ringo , now 81 years old and still the coolest and most laid back drummers EVER.
This hits me deep. A lot of people spread nothing but hate, but this video shows what humans can do and be when we work and play together
Playing for Change has many songs just as great as this performance, they are all worth a listen
There are SO many great Playing for Change songs. What's Going On, Higher Ground, Gimme Shelter, All Along the Watchtower are my favorites. Definite ear candy!

I agree! I've watched them all on my huge wifi TV screen and danced all around! Entertainment at its best. 🥰
Great song being played across the world by people all over the world. Need more of this in this old world. Thanks again for great reaction.
I am excessively happy you are reacting to this version. Lately our little world has given me the impression that somehow we communally took the wrong road. There are very few songs which make me believe there is hope like this one. People can change the world once we stop pointing finger and start singing together. I say please have a wonderful day to my fellow earthlings

I love this version of " The Weigh " and just couldn't get over how everything, music, singer and instruments just flowed together. I must have sen this video 20 times now and when the Jamaican Ladies Sherieta and Roselyn cut in I still get goose bumps every time.
Discovering that channel early in the pandemic era was everything for me. People connecting remotely cause they wanted to, not cause they had to, and creating something beautiful.
This is wonderful Rogue, Beatle Ringo and Robbie Robertson, two legends and all of wonderful musicians around the world coming together during COVID-19 to do their parts. Every music fan should watch this, especially young artist today because they all pretty much suck. It takes 2 old-timers to come together and pull this off. 50 year old song and it's far superior to any current music out there and great reaction. ☮️ 💕 👍👍👍👍👍
as many times that I have watched that version, it still give me goose bumps
I really love how in this music there's all these different cultures coming together in one harmony while holding onto their uniqueness and each contributing in their own way, it's so powerful.

By seeing how much we are all alike we can celebrate our differences instead of being afraid of them.
Take a great song, terrific musicians and strong singers and magic happens! Both versions are terrific!
Great reaction RougeRxyc and what a great rendition of this classic song! Ringo was born July 7th, 1940. This was recorded back in 2019 so yeah he's looking really good for a solid 78 here.

Ringo, the human metronome.
LOve this performance... Willie Nelsons Son is in this one... great musician in his own right.
Hey, Rogue. Been subscribed and following you for awhile. I'm a child-like 65 who you've got captivated by your energy and approach to how you react. Just wanted to meet you and say you make me smile whenever I watch you. Be well.
Great reaction of our beauty, to great music!)))Thanks.🌹😊🇷🇺
Larkin Poe provided the sonic framework that Robbie's son built this version upon. Super talented sisters.
I must have seen that video a hundred times. Makes me cry every time. If we can do this, there's still hope. Love to everyone.

@@patriciamoore6492 That made me chuckle. To be fair, there are TV ads that make me cry - I'm hopeless. Hugs!
One of my favorite songs ....When I hear this, I think it's preview what the Praise In Heavem Will Be Like
Great reaction to a beautiful and iconic song
Written by Robbie Robertson. One of Canada's great artists. Sorreeeee Sorreeeee Sorreeeee.
Love everything about this
Awesome selection and reaction Rxyce......Thanks!
I know it's about the "coffees" but I applaud you for doing alternate versions of performances. It honestly adds depth to your musical understanding and appreciation, and hopefully, to your enjoyment. If your up for it, I'd bet you'd enjoy a side by side of the original "Sounds of Silence", by Simon and Garfunkel vs the Pentatonix version. ☮️🌹🎼🎵🎸🎶🎶

Add Disturbed to the mix - each version brings something to the table . . . enjoy!
So glad that you heard the original that I watched several times on your channel and that you were suggested to hear this international compilation, anchored by Robbie Robertson of the Band and Ringo Starr.
In all of my 70+ years this is the best music video I have ever experienced and I have experienced literally thousands of them.
The version of this song I never new I needed. Thanks for this!
I love watching people react to this. Playing for Change is such a great organization. I love the fact that Robbie Robertson’s son is one of the main producers of this. It was something he could do for his father on the 50th anniversary of the song his father created. Very cool
there are several videos like this musician's connecting around the world just beautiful
Beautiful..And just a little bit lovely... and in the words of the Great Ringo... Peace and Love, Peace and Love..(and great to see Lukas)..
The kid in Texas is Willie Nelson's son. He got a lot of dad's talent.
Thanks. I'm 71 and hearing your reaction to the music that I've loved for most of my life has really given me hope. Can't really explain that, but I just feel like what you're doing is important.☮
It’s perfectly edited like they were in the same room . Excellent rendition
Ringo, as a drummer asks “what key is it in?……..F demented” Gets me every time
as well as featuring great tunes & musicians, playing for change are part of a global coming together of musicians & artists, for change & for the environment
Lucas Nelson is Willie Nelson's son. The two Jamaican women were singing behind the shack in which Bob Marley was born.
Nice reaction, Rogue!! This version of this classic song by The Band is the very epitome of music as an international language! Music helps to heal, helps bring the world together, and so does sport (as embodied in the spirit of the Olympic games). What else brings us all together? Watching RogueRxyce react to great songs! Everybody wins!!! Thanks, Rogue!!! Keep up the great work on your channel!
It's a fantastic song, if you get a chance, check out the original version (not the live version from "The Last Waltz," which was great, featuring the Staples, but different.) In fact, their first two albums (really both came from the same sessions,) "The Brown Album" and "Songs from Big Pink," were truly amazing works of art. The Band was a collection of eclectic musicians, mostly from Canada, but they were one of the biggest and greatest bands in the late 1960a and early 1970s. I guess it makes me sad knowing that only Robbie Robertson and virtuoso Garth Hudson are still alive today. After losing Richard Manuel to suicide, and the deaths of Levon Helm and Rick Danko, their music live on today, with performances like this.

Everybody was Canadian except for Levon Helm.
RINGO STARR "PHOTOGRAPH" & "IT DON'T COME EASY"..CLASSICS.
the young man that kicked off the first verse is worth a deep dive.....25 yr old Marcus King is a future superstar that needs to be heard by the masses! please do us both a favour and check him out with "Dyin" live from the Big House i promise you'll appreciate the talent. Cheers his band if you choose is the Marcus King Band and they flat out rock!!!
I get a 'peaceful easy feeling' whenever I watch you in your videos.... :-)
FYI, the drummer at the beginning of the song is named Ringo Starr and he once played for a band named ”The Beatles”-an obscure band from the UK in the 60s and 70s but worth a listen.
Aye. Playing for Change has a wealth of great videos worth a listen. It's also great for following up on those lesser known in the English speaking world. I've found some great tunes with a wee search on the internet. Fine reaction as usual. Stay safe bonny lass.

Music and Love - the truly Universal languages. Thank you for this, beautiful lady...
been playin over 40 plus yrs. You CANT beat this!!😊😢
I just love these "Playing for Change" videos. It gives me hope!! People of ALL colors, religions and cultures coming together and producing great music and art. We can take moments like this and apply it to ALL aspects of society and life! Peace & Love🥰
You need to explore the Playing For Change non-profit movement. All their songs are like this - mostly cover of classic rock tunes by musicians from all over. Any profits go towards supporting music and musicians.
What a great way to celebrate 50 anniversary ! From all around the world working together l Take a hint and lets all work together for a better world ! It was joyous !
Music is the universal language! And Playing For Change puts the exclamation point on that statement.

Now that my friends was truly special, Music can really bring us all together! Glad I lived long enough to see it.
I'm a Band Fan from way back when they released the Music from Big Pink album. Everytime I watch and listen to this version I get tears in my eyes
Anything playing for change does is wonderful
Check out the playing for change version of 'Guantanamera'. Stellar experience.
I just got a chill all over my entire body.
A beautiful rendition with a beautiful reaction from a beautiful person. Awesome.
Awesome collaboration!
Great music loved it thank you Fogue for sharing.
They are recorded in their home country. Each listens to the others contribution. That's why you see everyone with headsets. It takes quite a long time to put it all together and mix.
I love the fact that those last two ladies are singing in front of Bob Marley's house.
the get up stand up playing for change is awesome too i pretty much love them all!!!
So many great singers and musicians in this video, and most of them would be worth your time following up. For now, I'd really love to see you go back and check out Larkin Poe - two sisters from Mississippi who are brilliant contemporary blues musicians and featured several times in this video. Loved your reaction to both "Weight" videos
I *told* you this was the best performance of The Weight out there! Or at least I told lots of people... 🙂. Great reaction, thanks!
Immediate full body goosebumps!! Loved this! 😊😊🌹🌹🌹
Btw, did you know that Willy Nelson's son Lucas is the first guitarist and organizer of this project? 🤓

Actually the organizer of this project was Robbie Robertson's son Sebastian, the first guitarist (past Robbie of course) was up-and-coming country singer and guitarist Curtis King. Lukas sang the fourth verse (Crazy Chester).
That was sooo brilliant!!! ❤️❤️❤️
You got it girl, I'm so happy❤️
I kind of had to laugh when you wondered if they were all recorded at the same time. It would literally be impossible, BUT the editing and mixing most definitely make it feel like it was! Love this reaction!
Yes Ringo is now 81.
I loved this song the 1st time I heard it. The Band recorded it in the basement of their house so there was very little electronics or enhancements. Their songs had an intimate tone as though they were playing just for you..
There are a few great, great songs, I will listen to every rendition I can. This is one. Songs like "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", "Amazing Grace" and more than I can think of now runs you through all sort of emotions and thoughts of what it is like to be human, yet knowing beyond it all there is a Higher Power. Very glad you did this twice. To think this song which only made minor waves in the 60's spread out to be an universal song 50 years later! Sometimes it takes people a little time "to get it." You got it right away! Good for you!
All these Playing for Change recordings brings a tear to my eye even after 10 times watching them......people playing together from all over the planet showing the world belongs to us all dosn't matter what we believe.....We are in this together.
this may seem a bit off topic but, you are a great example of one who does not need to shout to get their point across! Bravo!

Guantanamera!
Luke Nelson in Texas is Willie's kid.
It's hard to cover a song as well done and popular as the weight. That being said well done playing for change. I'm a believer change the world.
Ive watched this about 10 times in a row now. Love seeing your free spirit move through the video. Its a great song in its own right but this performance is so great. Thank you for posting this.
So many musicians I have never heard of and Ringo Starr. Absolutely wonderful!
Playing for Change has such awesome content.
The absolute best “Playing for Change.” Great ensemble of musicians from around the world bringing their expert playing to one of the best compositions ever from “The Band.” Robbie’s smile at the end says it all - we fucking nailed it!
Check out Playing for Change further. This was the first one I heard and I was hooked. But there are so many. I just spent half a day listening and being amazed at what they are doing. It's truly remarkable,
Beautiful. And beautiful reaction. Playing For Change has a bunch of these videos of inspirational music. Take care.
Robbie is a great musician he also is a proud Native American.
Nice review. What a jam!
Music truly is a universal language x
All of the playing for change videos are amazingly produced.
The Playing For Change franchise has so many great songs that they have recorded and The Playing For Change band has toured the world and given some awesome concerts but this particular song is one of my favorite renditions other than the one with the Staples singers and the Band recorded on the Last Waltz
Glad you got into Playing for Change, there is a lot more
The two girls Larkin-Poe you should check out. Great on their own. Try "Preachin' Blues" video.
Spectacular cover of an already amazing song !!
RINGO STARR,AND ROBBIE ROBERTSON AND A MULTITUDE OF OTHERS, "THE WEIGHT"... THE CLASSIC FROM THE BAND. WRITTEN BY ROBBIE ROBERTSON. RINGO SPENT MANY YEARS COLLABORATING WITH GREAT SONG ARTISTS AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE MANY CONCERT SCENES IN, "RINGO AND HIS ALL STAR BAND"...
Playing for Change never fails to make me smile. Music makes the entire world play and be together.
Great song Rogue.... love your enthusiasm.... you lift us all up with your enjoyment and gestures of joy !!!!
I love your reactions. You’re the kindest and cute as a button. Keep up the positivity. Thank you.
