Gilmour isn't a "shredder" but his solos convey more emotion than a lot of the guitarists out there. Fast isn't always better (in my opinion).

One of the most soul-searching songs ever written. Lots of love songs between two people have been written, but this one deals with love among the world's inhabitants. Pink Floyd was thinking on a global scale with this one.

Soldiers In Ams, Smells Like Teen Spirit, Free Bird, Bomber Medley, Eddie VH, Brian May, Richie Sambora. Especially when live, these songs can all meld the band with the audience. They can even, in a proper live video, move the soul from a bad latitude to a very, very welcome attitude-on demand. Oorah.

Its nice to see the younger generation appreciating what we old timers grew up on, I am 67 now. Sadly there will never be music like this ever again and us boomers were very blessed to have experienced it as it was created. Not only are the band performers magical but the quality of sound in a live performance is unmatched anywhere in the world. They have the best sound engineers I have ever seen and in the earlier days included Alan Parsons for example. Got to see them once in concert and it was EPIC.

This is why rock and roll was king for so many decades; and David Gilmore was perhaps the best at making his guitar sing, cry and speak in such a soulful manner. I don't believe the black strat was that 'beloved'. It was in the Hard Rock Cafe for many years. It was also mucked about with a lot. It had at least three necks and he chopped a lump out of it to put a sustainer bridge in. He joked that the only original part on it when it was sold was the bridge plate. I think he far preferred his red strat or his beat up Tele. He certainly used them far more than the black strat. The only reason it went for so much is that it was the guitar he used on Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here

This is the seventh sense of guitar by David. I feel like flying to Andromeda galaxy while listening to his guitar. It's just out of the world.

That tempo change and David's lower cords at the 6:15 point in the video gives me chills every time I hear it. One hell of a transition that only Pink Floyd can pull off.

This is one of my favorites from Floyd. The lyrics moved me so much. They are the foundation of secular faith (in all forms), no more turning away from the weak and the weary.

No complaints here about the breaks in the music, even for the genius of the Floyd - we tune in to hear your reaction too!!

See someone walking with headphones on, obviously enchanted by the music. "Wonder what he's listening to?" "Is he crying?" Then it's Pink Floyd.

David is my favorite 'feel' player. "Less is more" he said. Some guys can play 100 notes in 10 seconds but Dave plays one note and it hits you. Thank you for your video, I enjoyed you enjoying it! 😃

One of the best Floyd songs, such a beautifull voice David has.

Holy cow, Rogue, you do know how to put the sun up there in the sky! I gotta respect a lady who is getting to understand Pink Floyd! Thank you for another wonderful reaction. I have yet to talk about this, but you're helping in vast ways to help me navigate some horrifying days and events. Thank you. ☮️🌹🎼🎸🎶🎹🎵🎶
