This is filling the gap that Hodinkee's talking watches left behind. Im so tired of seeing the same Daytonas and Pateks of rich actors, musicians, etc. So much more relatable to hear these stories and watches.

I disagree. I find the hodinkee talking watches to be inspiring and aspirational.

I agree with you, also their episodes are short ones ...

You are absolutely right. What a grounded and informative segment. This one of the reasons why Teddy is closing in fast on one million subscribers.
This is my favorite series of the channel right now. So cool to watch people show and tell their stories of their watches.

Definitely. And this is my favorite of this series so far. I like that he could mix and pay respect to icons while picking up pieces that are off the beaten road

Agreed. It helps to see more than the watch
This guy has by far the best taste ever in watches on this channel.

Really? Besides that Aquastar and blue Tudor nothing special. Others are million times seen watches everywhere else. And I say that as a lover of Junghans and Doxa.

Lol stop projecting
Great video. I love his collection. Just a true watch enthusiast, no snobbery.
"The right kind of ugly..." That is the perfect summation of the Doxa Sub 300 Professional, my first dive watch back in 1969. Definitely an enjoyable and informative interview. Thanks.
My favourite series of this channel. Absolutely refreshing to listen to the regular, hardworking, successful "man next door" talk about his watches and what they mean to him. Also they usually talk about items which I can actually afford! Rather than "ok here's my diamond studded platinum Daytona blessed by John Mayor". I mean really, this man has a Stowa. Nobody on KZread has ever talked about a Stowa!
I love this segment. Love seeing the collections of the "normal" people, not just the rich celebrities with their rainbow daytonas, platinum nautilus or 5M RMs that are just unobtainable to us mere mortals (nothing wrong with those watches though, love them all). And seeing the people that actually love watches talking about them and not just showing off expensive pieces. Keep it up :)
Just when I think I've had enough of watching watch videos Teddy makes a video like this. I love it.
This is your best interview to date! Natural, good pacing and obviously fun.
I love the diversity of this guy's watch collection. It's clearly from a place of love.
this dude is spot on regarding the Hamilton. It has been so right for so long.
It's refreshing and interesting to see collections of watches from "ordinary" people, as opposed to fabulously wealthy celebrities with their six-figure timepieces, and to listen to them talk with pride and appreciation about watches that many more people can afford and most likely think about in terms of acquiring for themselves. Adam Levine on Hodinkee with his jewel-encrusted Daytona was quite the spectacle, but this is more satisfying to hear a "regular dude" graphics designer explain what he likes about his more down to earth watch selections.
If it wasn’t already a foregone conclusion, with this series Teddy is on the top of the watch content mountain. No pretense whatsoever, genuine watch love going on in these.
Wow that Stowa was stunning 👌🏽awesome series, great vid!
A wonderfully personal exploration of a designer's take on watch design. I enjoyed seeing his choices. I happen to have the same appreciation for well-crafted design and for his draw towards minimalism. A terrific addition to the Real Collectors series.
Perfect collection explained perfectly. Deep knowledge of why each piece was selected.
This is so much more enjoyable than the usual „ this is a 39mm with a XYZ movement Blabla“ KZread watch content! Phantastic!
Nailed it with this one Teddy, Matt’s collection and storytelling is spectacular
Absolutely LOVE that Omega on that nice “piece of leather”. Great collection, but that Omega … 😍 Thanks for sharing the passion.
A wonderful collection. The blue BB58 has to be on everyone’s list. It is certainly on mine. Possibly the most significant watch of the last decade.
One of the best "talking watches" episodes ever. Great job and phenomenal taste.
More of these please Teddy! I love collection discussions more than any other watch content out there.
This is a great interview. Please keep these type of videos coming.
Great video Teddy, and thank you for letting Matt talk uninterrupted!
Fascinating, thanks Teddy. I'm also really enjoying this quite unique series.
Thanks Teddy! I really enjoyed the perspective and insights of this graphic designer. More of this please!
I am a profesional graphic designer and Hamilton is also the brand that got me into watches and down into this rabbit hole hahaha.! Its all about the aesthetics and the dials but also color combinations!
This was an absolutely fantastic episode, couldn’t agree more with the points made and the perspectives shared.
Such a cool diverse collection Love the stories and reasoning behind all the pieces This series is fantastic, more of this please Teddy
I really respect him highlghting humility in watches. He comes across as a really humble man himself too. Great interview.
I absolutely love this interview and his amazing collection.
Teddy with the "ineffable," whoa! Great conversation and a beautiful collection...
These interviews Teddy does highlighting collections are my favorite! Great job Teddy! 😎🙌🏻
Such a beautiful collection with an excellent taste. Congratulations I own 3 of them as well: - Junghans Max Bill (manual version 34mm) - the khaki Field - CWC (Hamilton version) And I have to say that they sre my favourite among my little collection. What is missing here according to me is the extraordinary SINN U50. Just for the unforgettable design
Great job Teddy! Looking forward to more of these interviews!
Matt has the best watch instagram, probably of all time. Smooth getting him in for a video Teddy!!
Love these kind of video with a guest!
Love these collector interviews teddy, you need to do more of them 😊
This series is fantastic….keep them coming👍🏻👍🏻
Love these vids Teddy! Keep these up!
Great video. Good to see a burly hunk of a lad and his tool watches!
Wonderful collection and conversation. Thank you!
As a graphic designer and photographer myself, I really love that collection!! Though I am not a big fan of the traditional watches from Rolex and Tudor, I do appreciate their place in history. I would love that collection - with some Nomos etc added to it!
Love this collector conversation series. Great selection of watches and not the usual suspects.
loved hearig Matt. and great series Teddy, And I like how this series probably feels more relatable with not just unattainable watches
This was a great installment. Thanks!

Great video! Great collector! True passion! More please!
Another great video Teddy and the team really are doing it best these days
I love this series Teddy. Keep doing these.
Love these collector deep dives, and you let them do most of the talking too. Nice work. 😁
I was here early, thank you for the treat!
Great video, Teddy! Very well done 👏
What a beautiful collection. Exactly matches my taste. Love the watches and the stories behind them!
Great interview, thank you! It’s nice to hear the view from a designer’s perspective. Helps to broaden my perspective!
Best series yet
very elegant and diverse collection... Thanks Teddy
Awesome collection! Matt has a great taste 😎
I love these kinds of series!
Great job! I shared this with my brother-in-law who is a graphic designer. Design x science = watch enthusiast 😊.
"The right kind of ugly". Love the collection. So much versatility.
Great video. Really enjoyed it
Teddy, this series is really hitting the sweet spot that Hodinkee’s Talking Watches has left behind. Except you’re doing it a hell of a lot better than Hodinkee ever did. There’s no pretentiousness, no air of arrogance, and no watch snobbery from any of your guests. Well done.
CWC Gang!!! It’s awesome getting a designers perspective on watches.
These come across as very authentic and real. As opposed to Hodinkee's offerings, which quite often are more performative and hypey. Great job at staying grounded Teddy!
What a nice epiisode, I really don't hear talking about watch design as often as i should, it's always heritage this, heritage that, but the eye wants its part too!
Perfect collection - great taste!
That was a very cool episode, it's always fun to see those type of collections and collectors why they like a certain piece.
This series from Teddy ‘the watches of a …’ and the watchbox studios collector conversation are what i look forward to every month. I just wish Teddy would be able to find more time out of his busy schedule to do this series more often.
Love the Real Collectors series!
Love this type of video. More of these.
What a killer collection. True watch enthusiast right there
Wonderful series Teddy and team! Purchased my fourteenth watch from your team and they make superb gifts. Would you consider doing a series for Writers, Journalists, Editors? Thanks.
shout out to Teddy's wife for keeping the hair on the back of his neck trimmed up 👍
Very cool to see Tomar's watches, this is a crossover I never would have expected
What an interesting fella ❤ his view of his collection,a great mix of brands. 😊
What a great solid collection, love the retro style theme
Excellence all round, as always. Teddy, would love to learn more about your approach and choices for your footwear, please.
Great show. One of your best. More like it.
Wow. That Tudor does scream road America! Awesome collection.
The Aquastar is phenomenal.
Great episode, my favorite so far. This is the first time I felt a little attracted to a Rolex or a Tudor, but that's because these guys are so persuasive and passionate. I still think the best in the collection are the most humble: the Junghans and the Stowa. ❤
I’m a big Aquastar fan. First time I’ve actually seen one on a series like this. Very nice collection.
Nice, didn‘t know he was the man behind the „The Grey Nato“ logo! Thanks for this video Teddy.
Wouldn't call this 'an original series' but the content is spot on. At least something different and unique.
@teddy please keep coming videos from common guys because watching these type of videos from common man gives us motivation that one day i could have my watch collection 😊…
THIS is a great episode
Great video. I knew the guy would have a Junghans in his collections but I’m surprised he has so many tool watches. As a brand expert, I thought he would have the Cartier Tank and Tag Heuer Monaco too.
I like this guy, I’d like to be his friend, I think we’d get on! His take on the Doxa is absolutely, 100% spot on! I HATED it when I first saw it, but it is cool.
That Stowa is an amazing one, extremely well design, the black dial one will be equally good Love the Omega browdarrow too.....
Best TB video yet.
Great series..reminds us that it’s more than just the watch per se but the story behind its conception and the people who wear them.
The guy knew his stuff. Nice collection.
Please more videos like this teddy!
This is so much better, and so much less pretentious than "Talking Watches"
Very nice collection
Love these collection videos
Ordered chaos. Best description ever
This was great. Matt has obviously put a lot of thought into his collection and it’s a beautiful collection but I gotta laugh a little at East Coast Man…”Mt. Washington”…come to the PNW for some real mountains! We’d love you to visit! Best Regards to you guys and thank you Matt for sharing!
Beautiful collection 👏
These kind of videos are great.
