I got in on the first ibuiltit Kickstarter as soon as I saw it. I loved the 4ground buildings and these reminded me of them. I got the peasant dwelling, Green Gables. Think it took me roughly 20 mins to build it. Great stuff for a quick build table setup. Wish I’d of had these as an option when I was starting out.

Damnnn!! Respect for that gravity taunting head of hair.
Yo Luke /Josh, I have those type of floor tiles down in my shed/workshop (but in black), they are quite handy to have in your painting and assembling area as they are nice and soft if ya drop anything. Compared to the definate thud and break of minis hitting wood flooring, this is a much more forgiving surface to have :)
NerdForge channel brought me to this channel almost a year ago, I really like what you do here on this channel.....especially with the terrain tables........a lot of this can be used in the model railroad hobby that I'm into.........I'll be sharing more video's like this on Facebook.......keep up the good work that you do here.

Got a Japanese gardener's sieve from Amazon that has 3 different grids. I added a disk cut from stainless screen, even smaller. Grabbed a couple of buckets of fill from a road side construction site and now have all the terrain materials I'll likely ever need.
Great stuff guys.
I still think the best "foam" layer for boards is definitely instillation foam, it's cheap and sturdy.

Yeah it’s a bit too expensive!!
In the US you can buy floor mats like that at Harbor Freight for about $8.00 US (last time I looked, anyway). They make a 4x4 foot-square mat. Sometimes you can even get lucky and find them at a thrift shop. Here's a thought: If you were to model some hills on these with insulation foam or some other method, how well would the hills stick? And how hard would it be to carve in river sections, gullies, and the like?

The impression I got from other people attempting to make gaming boards on this stuff was that it's good...for a few months. But with repeated use, the jigsaw edges break off pretty easily unless you're setting it up once and never taking it apart again. Most successful modular boards I have seen with the stuff just cut off the sides and then reinforce the bottom and sides.
as a wargamer and a cosplayer i can say from experience that those EVA floor mats are a gift from on high.
josh, your hair is fucking awesome. never cut it.

Would you store these 4 slabs on top of each other or on their sides? I’m unfamiliar with how sturdy static grass is on a project like this
B&M have the tiles in, £15.00. I think Josh is ready for Timotei, just for that flick of the hair.
Hey Guys, just thought that lightly spray painting the 'jigsaw; edge with a base colour at the start may also help the end finish AND can you design/ build/ 3d print something to put on your vacuum nozzle, the correct distance from the grass to prevent sticking but still allow vacuuming?

The white balance looks kinda off in this. Especially at the start. I think it's too blue and makes a lot of things look a sickly green. If I turn on my phones night mode/blue light filter, it looks a lot better. Were you editing it late at night with a blue light filter turned on?
