It hurts, knowing that this is still going on. My friend and part of her family fled in the late 90s/early 2000s (I'm not sure when exactly) from Congo due to conflict, when they came in the night and took her father, uncle and older brother. She doesn't really talk about it, but I understand that this is not a trauma one wishes to relive.

The actual story from ABC: kzread.info/dash/bejne/l2h-1Zp7ncWucpc.html By the by, how would a *Texan* profit from having his car being used by ISIS? I mean, regardless of the fact that he can't go international, and that he lives in one of the most conservative states, one in which he & his kids probably would (& have) receive(d) hundreds of threats over the issue, it's only a "good" look in about three countries and a placement on some sort of a watchlist for about every other country. Next time try cutting down on the assumptions a bit? On that note, since you know the gist of the story now, it would be a good time for the snarky remarks.

If there is one thing I learned from journalism is that you never trust what they say when they speak about army’s killing civilians. It’s never that easy, believe me. You need to know everything behind the story before saying anything. Of course it’s never a nice thing to kill and robe civilians, but Europe did it until 1945 and the USA has done it a few times in the last years. Just like “the atomic bomb was necessary!1!1” also this murders could be necessary. We always need to study the argument from closer

If two factions fight against each other, none of the hands ends up being clean, all of them getting dirty, but only the winner has the opportunity to wash his hands after, because the loosers hands keeps being dead and dirty. Its not a bad idea to implement combat hardened groups into your army, because if you let them guard their homeland, they will fight much harder and better than any other troops you could deploy there. And yes, Kongo has a lot or ressources, that would not be the first time a war gets startet because someone wants some ressources. At leat the rebels want peace too, everybody there cannot forget what happened, but also wants stability and peace, so why not?

@@whw710 war is necessary some times, the Italian civil war and partisans were necessary for that country.
