That pinky toe scene is not only a call back to OG Hershel, but it's also a call back to when Negan threatened to cut pieces off of Daryl if Rick didn't provide for him. Loved this show n can't wait for the next season. Hopefully we get more episodes tho

I just want to say I love how they've given Negan this big journey to redeem himself despite being a horrible person in the past. So far I feel like I'm looking at a completely different character, and I am! I definitely don't expect Maggie to forgive him, but honestly I think this show needed to exist so they could give Negan a proper ending, and possibly give Maggie a peace between her husband dying and the man who killed him brutally being around her often. I didn't like this show at first but episode 2 is what really drew me in, and so far I'm absolutely loving this writing, especially after being so desensitized to the awful writing in Fear. I can confidently say I genuinely look forward to new episodes of this!

I think Maggie and Negan should just go separate ways. Seeing him is just too much for her. Negan should go to Annie and his son and then leave for somewhere where he'll never meet Maggie or Rick's Group again. He's done so much good, but it can not undo what he did to Maggie. A big part of her was broken with Glenn's death.

That woman that seems to be Armstrong's boss is more scary and intimidating than The Dama to me...Not that there's anything wrong with The Dama, she's a great actress and an interesting character so far. But, that chic that was threatening Armstrong has got "villain" written all over her. As for Maggie and Negan, I know she's probably gonna be going back to save him, but when she said "I need to finish this thing with Negan" I got more of a threat vibe. Speaking of threats, when The Dama was holding Hershel over Negan's head, I couldn't help but think, how is this woman intimidating to Negan? He could've killed her right then and there 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 It was an awesome season and a fantastic finale! Can't wait for season 2!

no..not a threat vibe..maggie knew that when she handed negan over,he would be tortured and or killed but he was not..she is going in to save him and THATS how she finishes it.NEGAN will become that guy he didnt want to be anymore ONLY because he is being forced by black mail by DAMA.Armstrong doesnt like the threat from his superior and i believe he will join negan in a coup against dama and his boss and maggie comes in to save negan but seeing negan is back as a tyrant may piss her off NOT realizing that negan is doing this to keep her and her son protected so when she DOES find out,she helpes him get out of this that she got him in WHILE we might get dwight and or sherry as reluclant allies or temporay enemies but it will be these people that will take down the CROAT&DAMA from the inside.Negan will play along and pretend like he did with alpha in THE WALKNG DEAD:SEASON 10..thats my prediction for season 2 of TWD:DEAD CITY

About ten minutes before the pinky toe scene, I started to wonder if they were going to cut off a piece of Herschel, but I thought it was going to be half a leg or something.

Anyone could make the methane for fuel...everyone has walkers... There is no need to take anything.

So is Hershel suffering of Stockholm-Syndrom ? Maggie didn't even notice Hershel's toe missing ? As far as i remember you can't walk as good with a missing toe,so she must have noticed him having slight problems walking. I wouldn't like to be stuck in the Croats skin as Negan must know it was the Croat who amputated Hershel's toe !

Hey Bri, saw the teaser for The Rick And Michonne show dropped and it's gonna be called The Ones Who Live.

I think the final shot was meant to be symbolic for Maggie and Negan having a common goal which is to keep Hershal safe; Negan will be forced to work with Dama and Maggie will for sure be going after Dama once she finds out about the pinkie toe. I think Maggie will end up taking over Dama job by the end of the series. This could tie in with how Maggie becomes president by the end of the twd comic series.

I was shocked when I saw the pinky toe, and what Maggie gonna feel when she finds out. Also, the moles on Maggie face grossed me out she need to get rid of those.

Absolutely LOVE the show thus far. Doma having Hershel's toe doesn't make any sense to me but hopefully once the strike is over, they get filming for S2 and it's released next year that we'll understand better. I too instantly noticed the RV as Maggie and Hershel were driving away and said to myself, "DALE'S RV! HOLY SHIT!" I mostly never stick around for the director commentary after the show but this time I'm going to watch and listen to it for that reason if they bring up. As always keep up the awesome work Brian! Now it only gives Maggie (if Negan doesn't beat her to the chase) another reason to go after them all and take them out in a Carol kind of way. It's horrible enough to do to an adult but doing something like that to child and then say, "He told me he feels safer with me" is asinine.

I just had a thought . Why aren't there more sword or throwing knives.i understand the knives but there are swords everywhere from personal collections to pawn shops ..people would have found them eventually...and why don't they make more swords spears and shields. A shield wall would be a great defense from a horde of walkers they could even make the shield bullet proof but still light weight

What's what's up with all these female lead villains now seems like Daryl Dixon is gunna Have one to🤣 Alpha was great there was some awesome side female villains before her but now ever since Pamela seems like they're going overboard with all these female villains🤣🤣 this Maggie Negan spin-off was okay but as a whole what really happened especially in-between🤷‍♂️ great cinematography and great acting from negan and Maggie as usual... I absolutely hate the ginny character from the second she appeared I knew what they were going to be doing with that character and thats the same old thing they done before especially with Negan once again playing the cool Uncle figure🤪 take her out of the story and it changes almost nothing

I was hoping for more zombie filled streets and more zip line... Im from NYC and the streets are always full of people no matter where you go. Plus you go to 34th street where Macy's is... Plus what happened to the new zombies?? There are no variants in the big city? I was hoping to see that zombie cross over to dead city. I guess they keeping that for the Dixon spin off.

They should have just got rid of bounty hunter and the girl big deaths by variants. Big emotional deaths. Negan is the one who spotted them at that Battle of Commonwealth. "What the fuck!?" So uhh.. .m.m... This was a great series but the finale relied too much on a season 2 without any great legendary Negan jokes, any good herds with variant walkers or big gnarly deaths. I hope we get the Epic Death of Negan at the hands of Hershel.. But they have to turn him into full-on Saviors2 Negan again. My goddamn fingerscrossed I hope they do because he is so much better as a villain. Where is Lydia or anybody at the hilltop groups new BRICKS to welcome Jenny.

The show-runner has a different interpretation about that last shot - not necessarily that they are becoming each other, but that they are starting to come together and understand each other, and ultimately, that they need each other to move forward

The Dama is “the villain” - neither Negan or Maggie is “the villain” in this show.

This episode isn't as good as the others IMO. The whole (the talk show after last episode) with the whole 'plot twist' rubbish.. well, where was the plot twist ? Maggie lying about The Croat and grain etc ?.. we all knew that lol To be honest, I'm not that interested on if they make a season 2 or not now, Maggie just ruined the whole of the 1st episode for me.

Maggie is a villain. That’s just it. Always has been inside her heart.

Your reviews i enjoy but the show i did not. Slow, predictable, useless zombies, lame characters and a horrible "villian". Not much more can be done with this once great show.

SUPER Underwhelming, it’s obvious they were just setting up the next season opposed to actually finishing this one. I’ll always watch but it’s just not good tv at this point

I feel like Negan has proved himself and Maggie needs to either kill him, or let it go and move on!!!! What he did was awful and horrible but look what the crew did to his people! While they were asleep, that was pretty shitty!!! Let it go Maggie, for your son's sake. Be a mom and try to teach him right!
