I’ve got a Tacx Neo 2t with the motion plates. Having come from an Elite Direto, the in built side to side movement that the Tacx has along with the forward and back movement of the plates makes a significant difference to ride comfort. I should imagine the Wahoo makes a similar difference, and like the Tacx with the plates on it doesn’t affect the footprint and storage space required. I won’t go back to a fixed trainer again.

I also liked the side to side movement of the Neo 2T but I didn't like it otherwise and sold it. The Neo 2T never felt good in my training rides with or without ERG mode. There is something wrong in that magnetic plate drive concept that didn't come close to feeling of riding. I then bought Kickr Move and it has been fantastic so far.

Kickr Climb! I'm glad to see it still able to be used with it. You are the first review that mentioned it. I was getting worried it wouldn't be supported.

Yes, the Kickr Climb will be supported with the additional adapter 🙌🏼

Im actually sold on this now,, Ive been weighing up my options with all the current Wahoo products, even taking the time to research various rocker plates. Im a big guy at 198cm so the Wahoo kicker bike was almost what I was going to go with BUT it wont quite fit me. The movement is something I really wanted, not only for the immersive feeling of the movement but also to be kind on my carbon frame. So YES cheers for making this vid!!

I currently have the core and have been looking hard at the inside ride e-flex plus. I see you have ridden both and curious what your thoughts were between the two and which you would choose. Thanks for all the content!

I have a kickr bike, and while I absolutely love some of the convenience with it and the so overused feature of the incline and decline feature, it still doesn't move. And I'm not putting a rocker plate under that damn thing, no way in hell...even if one actually fits. So, I'm looking at making what some would consider a downgrade by switching to this, but I have never had anything that moves. Thus, your review is very helpful. Thank you.

There is additional side to side movement from the new platform itself. That’s in addition to what you get from the feet.

Tough question... I don't know if you tried the Elite rizer. If you did, would you pick this new kickr move OR the combo elite justo+rizer? In another way, fore-aft movement vs up & down movement? I haven't tried both and honestly I can't really try it because there are not shops around me with them. I have to rely on youtube reviewers. Many thanks

I personally find the movement, particularly forward/backward movements to be more beneficial than up and down. I also do most of my rides in erg mode rather than sim. But for comfort level, definitely the fore-aft over the climb. The tiny fore-aft movement that you get throughout each pedal stroke, makes a huge impact in my opinion.

Nice video, great to see that there will still be a great market for the good old rocker plate this winter, also, at a fraction of the cost if you already have a smart trainer #turborocks

Hi, do you have the Kickr move level or the bike level? I have Kickr move and have som problem leveling the Kickr move correctly.

I just got the KICKR move and I level my bike, not the trainer. I use the top of my chain stays as the level point.

is this model worth the $ vs the plain kickr model?

I currently ride with a kickr v4 on the rocker plate, but to be honest I would like to switch to a kickr move. I have high expectations for this new product. However, I am concerned about the durability of kickr move. Will it not lose its functionality even if it is used violently on a bicycle for many years?

That’s a good question and hard to answer since I only had it for about a month or so. But from my initial observation, It looks very solid and you can probably drop it from the second floor and it will keep working.

I thought rocker plates were like $300. My kickr was $799 in 2019. That would be cheaper vs. this

Rocker plates with forward/backward motion tend to be a bit more than $300. I was also comparing the current retail price of kickr v6. I’m sure you can put together a setup that is much less than the price of this one using a different trainer.
