    @The Horned King.... yup....... i agree with you.......but i think that it was a way that some children thought that they could get their parents or other elders into trouble for trying to stop them (a.k.a the kids) from doing what they, the kids, thought was just fun.........and also as children who would really know what these Witch trials would really do and what they even meant.....i mean, i doubt that even the so called pious Christians never knew what really went on during the trials........these so called witches were actually tortured till they confessed to something they really didn't do.......even some of the people who we know were tortured for witchcraft.......i have an extremely curious mind and i had heard of Wicca and i was like "what is wicca?" and i found out that Wicca is actually a religion and has nothing to do with magic or witchcraft......and witchcraft is just a practice not a religion......like Hoodoo and Voodoo......Hoodoo is a religion with it's roots in Africa while Voodoo is a practice.....Voodoo and Witchcraft is normally seen as dealing with the Black Magic, but i can tell you that there are some people even now who call themselves as white witches.......but i guess that in the medieval period, anything that was out of the ordinary was taken as witchcraft.......even the worship of foreign gods could get you a death sentence, just because in those times all kinds of worship to other "gods" when most of the people were pure Christians and believed that Christ was the one "True" god........such acts were deemed as worshiping the devil......try looking into the whole history of religion and you'll see even worse stuff.......because people on one hand would suffer torture for their god, while some people would just do anything, even to say that they were witches just to stop being tortured to death, only ending up getting burnt at the stake....... both are equally terrible......i think that animals are better in this case, they just kill mainly for food but humans will kill for the smallest of reasons........

    Just for the record folks, "intercourse" doesn't always mean of a sexual nature, particularly back then. That part about the children may well have not meant that they'd been accused of sleeping with the devil, they were accused of COMMUNICATING with the devil. That's of course without more information being available on the context, but I thought it might at least help people breathe a little better to know the accusations may not have been of a sexual nature. Though of course, that doesn't mean what happened to them was okay.

  • @kimm.8800

    @kimm.8800

    Жыл бұрын

    No, not necessarily. Thís was not the Victorian age, this was the 1620s. The children were indeed belived to have had sexual intercourse with the demons, this was not seen as implausable, it was the Devil after all, regardless how implausible it might seem to us with our modern sensibilities. The definition of being a witch was to have sex with the Devil, and these questions were directed against all accused, regardless of age or gender. Children were often believed to have had sex with the devil and his demons; they were asked about this, often did not understand the questions, and sometimes affirmed that they indeed had sex with the demons, without quite understanding what they were saying. The church and religion has always been very occupied with sexual issues. /Historian.

And how nimrod is also Osiris, but in ancient Syria he is enmerkar, I think China and India also have their own names for him. Which is interesting research itself, ancient civilizations tell of their deity being killed in a hunting accident by his own kin. And spread along the four corners of the earth. So to me it’s all the same dude. I apologize, I am also fascinated by nimrod

    @@godrulesme8619 absolutely my friend, but don't throw the baby out with the bathwater. That Bible is LIFE. That's why the Catholic church didn't want the little man to read it. Catholicism is a gateway drug to the occult or atheism. May Yah keep our doctrines sound

    @@timothysmith4260 ??? So a book that says you can own slaves is life??? if you're the one who's a slave that's not life that's torture and slavery. Wake up.. Christianity is a satanic cult. The New testament even says.. Slaves obey your earthly masters with fear and trembling just as you would your lord Jesus Christ. the New testament even says You must eat flesh and drink blood for your eternal life and the flesh is real food and the blood is real drink... Come on...this is satanic and it even says the flesh is real food and the blood is real drink. no true God would want his son telling others to eat his flesh and drink his blood and even clarify that the flesh is real food and the blood is real drink. the entire Bible is sick for slavery alone and it's crazy you all have brainwashed to support it

    That sounds so ridiculous. As if nothing cruel was done in the name of science or reason. Should we be anti-science because of the torturous experiments done on animals, in the name of ‘advance’? Or on the victims of MK-Ultra or Hiroshima?

    @@joshuawaring4180 I said nothing about science, but since you have.. Science isn't the problem, ethics are. Sure, terrible things have been done using science as a cover, but the method is self correcting. Phrenology was considered a science in the nineteenth century and was used to discriminate against people with less than ideal cranial semetry, but it's long been debunked because real scientists tore it to shreds. Eugenics was considered a science, but it too was rejected by true evolutionary scientists. Is it perfect, no, but it is self correcting. Now for religion. All three of the Abrahamic religions have violence written into their liturgies and many leaders in those religions still justify contemporary violence because of it. I could go on forever, but I assure you, the terror and oppression of religion has done far more damage for far longer than anything done in the name of science.

    @@christinehope6317 - I’m thinking that you meant “as a Trump supporter,” LOL! And please how do you not see the comparison of Trump filing over a hundred lawsuits asserting voter fraud and none being true, riling up his entire support base (you) to believe that Democrats fraudulently stole the election, some ready to “exercise their 2nd amendment rights to defend democracy,” by violently overturning an election result. You have to laugh at the notion of defending democracy by ending it! That is comedy gold! Edit. And “Bless you?” Seriously? You can’t still be pretending to be Christians after supporting the closest thing to the Antichrist we have ever seen! In four years Trump has transformed the Christian Party into the party of lies, prostitution, corruption, and abandoned every principal it once purported to hold. We’re Republicans so let’s hire a life long Democrat to lead us. We are anti+abortion Christians, so let’s elect a president who is not a Christian, parties with Epstein, uses prostitutes, in an open marriage with a former model-escort, has paid for 5 abortions, and there’s a long, long list more.
