The fact that Abezethibod says he was held under the Red Sea by the ‘pillar’ one could assume pillar of Air was the air from God used to split the Red Sea

I think "the pillar of air" is referencing a hurricane, isn't ephipas a demon of wind? In ancient times it's likely that people thought all hurricanes were the same one, coming periodically to wreak havoc. Hurricanes are created at sea. The pillar of fire could be a fire storm.

It would have been nice to know more about King Solomon’s ring ! For it was according to legend what gave him power over the demons that constructed the temple. Only slight mention of it was made but, I still caught it!

Solomon's life story truly brings about more curiosity & wonder to learn more of. Strong question that turns up deals with Solomon's children, descendants. JR

I think that the Pillar of Air is a reference to the greek myth of Atlas, while Abezethibod is probably the son of Beelzebub, who is a fallen archangel. it is possible that for a while Abezethibod was accepted in Heaven after his birth, but by plotting against the other angels was cast down.

@@mistyrious8112 I agree. My daughter's father for example, he's the definition of a sociopath, well maybe not sociopath but definitely very narcissistic. I wondered how he could act like he loved our daughters, but I realized from what he would say to them, and about them, that he loves the part of them that is him. He doesn't see them as their own people, just a piece of him, so it's not love, it's pride and ego. Very sad, sick and evil.

I think both demons and angels are capable of compassion and love, however it’s different than the same types of love and compassion that humans feel. They most likely look at us like a lot of people look at animals (I feel as though animals are equal to humans, but a lot of people do not, I think that’s how demons and angels think of humans, we are just tools to them). Beelzebub may very well love his son, maybe similar to the way a human parent loves their child, but even then, how could we understand it when they operate on an entirely different level and moral code than we do?

Perhaps the pillar of air represents the spirit world/ghosts, and they're stopping the communing of mortals and spirits, albeit unwillingly. That could explain the change in the perception in religion that went from burying ancestors in their doorways and treating them with reverence for protection etc to communing with spirits being a bad thing.

On the pillar of air, I think the interpretation you put forth regarding divine manifestation is more accurate. Consider the Kabbalistic ritual of The Middle Pillar..

They are definitely not the same demons. Azazel was a captain and leader of Angel's but Beelzebub was a chief over many Angel's and now crowned a prince as a demon over many legions of demons in the kingdom of darkness. There are even kings and queens, princess, and princesses in the kingdom of darkness crowned by their master Satan.

For dnd I decided to mix Abezethibod and Raziel from LOK to make my Aasimar Eldritch Knight Abeziel, the one winged soldier, looking for his other wing to restore his true power.
