So behemoth is a representation of humbleness. It’s massive and powerful but gentle and humble. We know that it’s gentle because in spite of it’s size other animals are comfortable around it. It’s humble because though it’s powerful it doesn’t cause turmoil like leviathan. That being said it amazes me with this knowledge one would illustrate behemoth like a catastrophic monstrosity. Yeah it is a monster but that description is a reference to its size and nothing else.

It’s powerful and dangerous but other animals play around it because it’s gentle. It’s literally the polar opposite of Leviathan which is considered the king of the children of pride. The Bible says leviathan rejoices at that which most would fear. In the bible God asks job who is brave enough to challenge leviathan. Behemoth not flinching at the Jordan River is a sign of its size and strength. It doesn’t mean it’s prideful.

Your version of Behemoth looks like a Balrog of Moria. Who knew that Balrog were just sweet, gentle herbivores? :p

I have always assumed the Behemoth is one of the many long-necked dinosaurs. The tail and legs match that and the fact it was amongst the reeds. The Bible also doesn't hold up the millions of years age of the world hypothesis, so having a dino in the Bible isn't weird. Which is why I have wondered why so many Christians, as a Christian MYSELF, believe that dinos are made up creatures.

Because it's a modern day faith that's currently worshipped by a huge portion of the world Christianity's monsters and otherworldly beings don't get as much love as they should. Love seeing a video like this. I'm atheist but i adore mythology and religion of all kinds because they are some of the best and most important stories ever created by man. The abrahamic religions have lots of stories about crazy otherworldly monsters and beings that rival any roman, greek, Egyptian, or norse myths and even in Christian homes so many of them are unknown.

The second beast reminds me of a Demon in final fantasy tactics called Velius (Belias), he too is a sheep man that has horns of a ram, but also has 4 arms and is very violent, he is the demon aspect of the god of war aries.

This is why when I was a kid I always took monster movies seriously, Mainly Godzilla but he's both land and Sea monster and the other was Hedorah 3 headed Dragon, I always used to ask myself, What if these Big monster's was His judgment on the earth, I'm sure if you ever saw the latest version of Godzilla he would remind me of both the bohemoth and the Laviathin and Gedrah the Three headed Dragon reminds me of Revelation chasing the woman with child

There's a third, far less discussed giant beast from the bible. Ziz, as it is known, is to the sky as the behemoth is to land, and the leviathan is to the sea.

Since Behemoth and Leviathan are also featured in the MonsterVerse, would like to see Ziz as well. My guess is that Ziz will look like a giant griffin with a vulture's head and dinosaur-like teeth in its beak.

To call Leviathan evil is to disregard the one time it shows up that you did not mention. A man on the run by the name of Jonah. The Bible clearly states in the King James version and in older translations that God sent Leviathan to swallow him.

A temporary do over if you will. Water in interpretation of scripture, symbolically uses water as a means of destruction. A reality that Satan adores, while God abhors.

Good stuff, kudos. When it comes to literal beast theory, I always felt as though God really spoke with Job and was referring to a beast or two that, perhaps, did not exist simultaneously with Job. Perhaps Job even knew of the beast from bones, and knew God was timeless. Things just "are" for God.

Videos like this are a double edged sword for me. The monsters and content are very interesting but then again, it reminds me that there are people that genuinely believe these monsters exist/existed.

The First/Second Beasts are just metaphors, I don't think anyone actually think literal beasts like them will exist. In Revelation, John, the author of the book, was shown A Lot. He was probably shown things like tanks, planes, guns - a whole lot of modern things his brain could hardly comprehend. So... a lot a metaphor, 'cause how are you supposed to warn others if words are lost on you? The beasts are actually supposed to be powerful people in a dictatorship-like 1984 world, not actually mytho-like monsters.

It is, but that begs the question what in the Bible and especially Revelation should be taken as literal, what is semi-metaphorical, and what is outright metaphorical. I honestly hope its all literal. Not out of some kind of spite but because four guys running around on horseback cutting tanks in half with medieval weaponry would be a spectacle to behold.

It may or may not be representative of something else. Something else meaning hard-to-understand, misunderstood, or something we are not yet capable of understanding. However, the term literal should not be applied when separating the Physical from the Spiritual. The Bible teaches that the Physical realm often manifests what is already happening in the Spiritual realm (Thy will be done in Earth as in Heaven, etc.). But also, that the Spiritual is eternal, and the physical is only temporary. In that regard it is the Spiritual that is literal. The "blessing" of prophecy is that it always points to God as Sovreign over time, space, and everything created. Prophecy can never be figured out but must be revealed by the Holy Ghost. (Blessed art thou Simon Bar-jonah: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. The woman described in Revelation 12 leads to two possible images: the individual person of Mary of Nazareth, the Mother of Jesus, and the collective image of the Church, which appears primary.

An interesting theory concerning the Nephilim is that they were supposed to be representative of all the old gods and heroes of mythologies. Primarily these were the Greek/Roman dieties, and were supposedbto help with the conversion of the peoples of those areas.

Well both of you might be in the wrong... The nephilim were the kids born out of human women and the fallen Angels (they were a seperate group who came down on earth on their own Accord and were not part of Lucifer's inserruction) as half human and half spirit they were different from the humans (sons of Adam) (btw in those days men lived to be 900 years so imagine the stature of a guy who is that much old) these nephilim were way much bigger and taller than the rest... They got wiped out during the flood.... There weren't any "Israelites" then... The Israelites were the grand children of Abraham.

@@thisnthat7760 I never claimed they were Israelites, I claimed that saying the Israelites made them up for the sake of conversion is inconsistent with the Israelites' lack of care for conversion. Also the Bible does not give us that much information about fallen angels and Satan's insurrection, that's mostly conjecture, nor does the Bible associate fallen angels with Nephilim. Also Nephilim appears in the book of Numbers and the book of 1 Samuel, so while all the Nephilim were killed in the flood, more were still born later

I don't think nephilim survived the flood. That would imply God's plan to get rid of corruption to start over failed, and God does not fail. However there is a good chance that different angels left their post amd begor new giants, but didnt need to teach humanity secrets of heaven because the first set already did.

God was purging the corrupted DNA within humans... not necessarily the Nephilim. God made a promise to Eve that the Messiah would come through her seed. Satan intended to corrupt the seed thereby nullifying the promise of God. God was keeping His promise. Likewise, the nations surrounding Israel, in the Old Testament probably carried the same corrupted DNA. Oh yes, the world is absolutely rid of corruption, for sure. If there was a spiteful entity that utilised the flood for genocidal purposes, it certainly wasn't God. Just another powerful and power mad creature claiming to godhood.

It did fail, even according to the Bible. Heck, it's clear it failed just by seeing it commonplace today, and even not long after the supposed time of the flood. So, whether real or false, it did fail

Sad that you dismissed the dinosaur… that was the winner, tail like that of a cedar tree, giant belly, bones like bronze and able to stand in the raging river without being disturbed. No dinosaur had such a tail, far as I'm aware. It's probably an elephant, though hippo also has a case. Also, there is no dinosaur that is proposed that could shade itself under any kind of tree at the time, if any ever

​@@christophermonteith2774the hippo and the elephant dont fit the description of behemoth, the only creature that comes close to descriing behemoth its the long neck dinosour. the long-necks dinassour are massive like reaching 120ft and there tails are gigantic like ceder as they drag it.

Demons as you likely know them are very specifically a post-revelations interpretations of the text: everything we know about evil comes from _after_ we first wrote about it, usually filtered through many lenses. There's like six different versions of the Christian Bible and they all say something very slightly different, which, over time, really starts to add up.

@@edorasmarauder5761 The Bible also describes bats as birds and whales as a type of fish. They describe things by what they do, not what they are. It's best to interpret from their descriptions rather than labels in my opinion.

The sun= blinding to look at Dawn= The sun is lidded as it comes over the horizon, almost like a giant eye slowly opening. The sun at dawn is an unstoppable force that washes over the land. Even the seeming absolute darkness of night falls helplessly away before it. To use that to describe a creature's gaze paints a terrifying picture.
