The Violin and IndoSoul | Karthick Iyer | TEDxCRCE

Watch Karthick Iyer perform a mesmerizing piece of fusion music.
Karthick Iyer is a classically trained vocalist-violinist-composer. An
embodiment of the link between Indian soulful music and the western fast paced tracks, he has been exploring the concept of fusion and music since a very early age. With an experience of 20 years of training and practice, and a wide exposure to really diverse world music, he has captivated audiences at premier music halls like The Music Academy and Narada Gana Sabha with his moving violin solos. Karthick has performed in renowned global stages like Glastonbury (UK), WOMAD (Spain), One Movement(Perth), Kennedy Centre for Performing Arts (US), BBC show 'Later with Jools Holland' and Coke Studio @MTV. Karthick Iyer has written music scores for television projects and has recorded music for films in many languages. He has worked with A.R. Rahman, Devisriprasad, Imman, Vidyasagar and Vijay Antony. Karthick was also a part of the Indian folk-rock band - the Raghu Dixit Project.
