I have the twin dvd boxset of this film and the sequel Children of the Damned and both black and white films are awesome I have seen colour pictures from both VOTD and COTD.

for those interested: the glowing eyes are for audience only - to signal the use of supernatural powers. the in-movie characters state that they don't notice anything suspicious at all.
