A friend of mine introduced me to 90s Irish sitcom “Father Ted” back when I was in high school and when I recently started watching Toast of London (for love of both Matt Berry and Tim Downie), I couldn’t help but feel it had Father Ted energy. Turns out Berry’s writer Arthur Mathews also wrote for Father Ted back in the day! If you love Toast of London, I highly recommend giving Father Ted (most episodes are on KZread) a watch as well! Very similar ridiculous humor!

THIS CLIP CONTAINS STRONG LANGUAGE. Oh for fuck's sake, does it? I had no idea it contained strong language even after having watched the show four fucking times. Appreciate the warning!

Yeah, okay, so Purchase managed to get one over on Toast many times, but what's he doing now, eh? Nothing, that's what. Toast is doing voice overs for Absolute Radio and Money Supermaaaaaaaaaaaaahket, so he wins. But Purchase did marry Jen from IT, so maybe it didn't pan out so perfectly after all...
