“Faaaatherrr...SPEAK PRIEST” That has to be one of, if not the, best entrance for a character. His voice is one of the most recognizable and his ability to make Douglas lovable is absolutely ingenious.

Every now and then you get a perfect bit of father/son casting. The American equivalent was Meat Loaf as Jack Black's dad.

The entire IT Crowd episode when Douglas has a gun is hysterical from top to bottom, but "Your affectionate father, Mr. Reynholm" is honest to god one of the funniest lines I've ever heard in a sitcom

I went to a wedding in a private members club in London earlier this year. The voice in the lift to tell you what floor and doors opening/closing was that of Matt Berry! It made me laugh every single time I used the lift - especially after lots of champagne!

Yeah when I first watched IT Crowd I only knew Berry from Absolute Radio (and only by voice not name/face) so when I heard him on IT Crowd I was like the Leo pointing meme

@@chellymurphy no, defo C4. The production company Talkback does alot of work with the BBC as well as C4, so it maybe that you have subliminally associated their banner with the BBC. On BBC shows, the Talkback logo would be shown below the BBC logo at the end of the programme.

The first time I saw IT Crowd, at least 12 years ago, I was randomly flipping through the channels and this @2:35 is the scene I saw. I'm like "What the hell!?". Little did I know I stumbled upon one of the funniest shows of all time. I had to go find it. What a classic.
