The varied life of a jobbing plumber
In todays video I replace a flush valve on a toilet, change an old Worcester heat slave oil boiler and install some remote sensing thermostatic radiator valves. I show you some plumbing tips and tricks along the way to hopefully make life easier.
As always, thanks so much for watching, all the support is greatly appreciated

Enjoy your break mate
Had a repair today that stumped me! Viessmann (eww) system boiler S-plan! Dhw or ch on its own worked fine! Both on same time the boiler temp shot up and kept knocking off...was like 🤔 started when new cyl was put in...figured out no gate valve on flow to cyl = water was finding quickest route when both demands on and going to cyl and coming back hot af...new gate valve, sorted! ✌️ learned summin new! 🤯

Great to hear you're having a break in Wales and not think about work for a bit. Whilst you're over here would you mind popping in and taking a look at my leaking tap too, cheers!

You made a complicated oil boiler installation look very easy. Great work! Come on Tom, highly skilled plumbers like you are minting it, get yourself a nice exotic luxury holiday, some where like Dubai? You deserve it for all the hard work you do. And well done for resisting to poke your eyes with your fingers 😀

Pleased your getting a holiday Tom, well deserved, you work hard and everyone needs a break, another tidy install , that story about the lad in bed whilst doing that combi swop, the things we plumbers tolerate, unbelievable but made me chuckle 😂 take care 🚽👍

Very interesting video Tom - thanks. You made a great job of sorting out that pipework mess around the oil boiler. My heart sinks when I see a load of copper joined with speedfit; it just looks bad as much as anything. Two man soldering was impressive! I suppose that’s a situation is when Yorkshire solder ring fittings are handy! Great to hear you’ve booked a holiday!

We go campong in South Wales every summer. Highly recommend it, there's some stunning little hidden gems to be explored. You're doing well with the running. I struggle in the week as I'm usually knackered after work too. 😂

Good work again, Tom. Might be worth saving the diverter valve off the old Worcester, they’re getting really expensive now.

Is the tubing on those remote TRVs not ripe for damage, or did someone come along after and put some protection/trunking in?

The cables were all hidden behind the rad covers and the sensors just sat next to them with no wire showing. I thought I had filmed a finished one but couldn't find the footage, it was a bit of a mind numbingly job to be honest, thanks for watching 👍
