The Valley at the Border - Go Wild

The Thaya River flows quietly through the deep incision of the valley that - in winter - frequently sees only a few minutes of the warming rays from the low-lying sun. It rarely snows here, but the sharp cold and the dampness rising from the river transform the valley at the border into a bizarre landscape coated with hoar-frost.The border between Austria and the Czech Republic runs along the middle of the river. Up to the fall of the Iron Curtain, the isolation of the youngest Austrian national park allowed a great diversity of quite rare animal and plant species to survive.

Awesome video. I love nature. I hope this valley is still as pristine as it was when the video was taken.

Hmmmm, I think I'd rather go there today and find it in a more pristine condition than that which existed at filming. Maybe a few less silly humans with guns marching all about it in costume?

a wonderful unintended consequence dedicating a precious jewel of a national park created (and combined for a larger area) by the cooperation of 2 nations from demise of the Old Iron Curtain ~ also (O: a big thank you for indicating an association between orchids and the presence of limestone ~ and, thanks but no thanks, i wouldn't want to be born again as a male whom fertilizes a larger sized praying mantis only to be eaten alive ~

The boar or domesticated pig will turn untreated ground into ground that can be farmed, anyone that has farrow land should know that, that's why it's called a farrow off piglets.

Flowery commentary tells little of the real situations and animals, some facts are mentioned. Great to watch though.
