Wasteland Warriors - Go Wild
Үй жануарлары мен аңдар
Surrounded by barren cities, sterile concrete or over maintained, uniform patches of green, more and more animals are losing their last places of retreat. The city continues to grow inexorably but, where humans fail to impose their order, nature sprouts and crawls out of the tiny cracks in the asphalt and concrete and re-conquers its territory. Disused land is often the last place of retreat for wild animals in the city. More than two thousand species of plants can be found in Vienna alone, as well as half of all Austrian breeding birds and two thirds of the country’s mammals. Many disused areas in Vienna are home to a host of threatened species like, for example, crested larks, nightingales, praying mantisses or firebellied toads. Countless mammals, birds, insects and amphibians are making their homes here once again. The city’s wilderness is characterised by their comings and goings, their struggle to survive and their quest to find increasingly scarce resources and habitats.

This nature documentary is I do believe my most favorite I've ever seen. I'm 65 years old and have enjoyed watching hundreds starting when I was a young boy maybe 3 or 4 years old. From the narrator, to the picture taking, and the music that so wonderfully helped tell a story about plants and animals tenaciously holding on to and even prospering in life. The best part for me was the song written by Rosanne Cash for her father Johnny Cash. There is a deep feeling inside that I get when I watch this story that is hard for me to describe but I see that others are affected much in the same way as I read through some of the comments. A sadness that comes when you know your time is very near and memories of fun times will go away and newness comes after we are gone.
Great job my friend l wish you success and put roval like
The music was awesome. Scenes great, narration soothing.
It's extremely sad that this narrator is no more. His voice was incredibly good. Without him, a well- narrated documentary like this one is no where to be found.

Wow!!! I'm New To This Channel On KZread. I Was Just Going To Comment On This Brilliantly Scripted Documentary. I Was Saying To Myself The Ingenious Clever Narration Of Very Subtle. Witty Sarcasm In The Analogues. I'm Saddened To Hear This. I Knew I Heard Something Special In The Narrator's Delivery. It's A Rare Magik. Lost Art & Treasure To Be Greatly Missed.

His. brother, Richard Attenborough, has died. Jurassic Park actor. David is still alive I believe. He is 96. And yes, no one has ever or will ever narrate with his voice.
Hermoso documental... Como seres CIVILIZADOS, CUIDEMOS NUESTRO PLANETA.
Look below. I believe Sir David is 96 And still with us and still narrates. His is the voice I hear always. No one can match him. Just like Carl Sagan will always be the voice of the universe for me. I miss him.
I really enjoyed the theatrical elements in this documentary.. the soundtrack is very eclectic and very apropos! Well done thank you, I enjoy all the docs on this channel top notch
I have no words! thanks to the entire team for such great videos :-)
Excellent show - I live in Toronto, Canada and there are many "waste places" in our area too that has many interesting species of wildlife (and some are right in the city of Toronto). Thanks for posting.
This channel has been needed since the beginning of KZread. Thankyou for helping us learn about the natural world without sensationalism and misinformation. In a time when everything has become political, it's refreshing to watch content that is purely educational.
Loved the sound track for this.
Fascinating docu about things that often are right under our noses.
Adorable little raccoon family 😊
How awesome-- I can't help but sing along with the songs and laugh at the old tunes you chose. So fitting to the video itself. Thumbs up for a fantastic video and a great photographer to boot. Them shots of the snails was awesome. Keep up the videos. Poor fox never did eat seen in the end :)
Such inspiring documentary. At the least human could do is protect the wasteland if civilisation must expand. But I have doubts that this might encourage hunting by the city dwellers rather than conservation.
this one was unexpected, I liked the jazz music (normally I don't) it went well with the documentary and the narrator was ok.
Tracklist: Blues Brothers - Minnie the Moocher (Cab Calloway) Astrud Gilberto Walter Wanderly - It's A Lovely Day Today Willie Nelson ft. It was unexpectedly interesting to watch this wasteland diversity which one might not pay too much attention to in everyday life. The background music paired perfectly with the subject matter. Thanks for this very well made video!

I loved at 8:20 in Minnie the Moocher by Cab Calloway was the background music used while showing a mother Raccoon and her babies trotting along. I thought it was a perfect song for Raccoons.

God job. Nice to know there is god People around that do not only think on there on behalf. To se the needs of other and other creaturs and Prosper on there behalf is the greates deed we can achieve, i belive.
If skunks establish themselves in Europe they will have close to the North American woodland experience. Tukeys and white tail deer have been brought to Europe and are doing well. As an American it would be nice if hedgehogs got established here we would have the European woodland experience more. Copperheads pit viper numbers would probably drop which would be nice.
Great film, but the music was terrible. I turned the volume off 3 times.
i love that song for raccoons on the tracks

In love we shall fall
If only Humankind would learn from living in Gods unconditional laws of nature, instead of just making comment. We were given the gift and responsibility to shepherd over this wonderous creation and just what has Humankind done. It is no wonder we will end this charade of thinking we know it all, we have not even scratched the surface where as Satan dances around the Sheeple............................
This music! Who sings these songs? I can't find them anywhere! All I find is other versions, other covers, all bad. These songs here are wonderful. Help me find them!

But what is this video about?
I have a lot of raccoon videos on my channel.
The acidic yam bizarrely strip because fragrance erroneously pretend like a merciful accelerator. quixotic, devilish knot
Enough with the Stupid sound effects. Great footage though
Why is this documentary constantly trying to make references to modern human multiculturalism? Downvoted.
NO MORE COKE Extremely sad that this narrative is in Spanish for Coca. In America we speak currently just one official language. Visit no longer Universal Studios - anywhere. If you don't like it - move to Mexico, not far from Hollywood and all the Democrats in California. Just one other choice: Learn English or "beep" off.
