The Untold Truth Of Jean Claude Van Damme
Ойын-сауық
In the late ‘80s and early ‘90s, action stars ruled the screen. Even if they weren’t always the best actors, and even if the movies weren’t all that good, simply putting Sylvester Stallone, Steven Seagal, or Arnold Schwarzenegger’s name on a movie was almost guaranteed to be a box office draw. Another ‘80s and ‘90s action star who has fallen out of the spotlight a bit is Jean-Claude Van Damme. Like a lot of his fellow action stars, he wasn’t always the easiest person to work with on set, and in time his movies stopped being the draw they once were. Let’s take a look at the untold truth of Jean-Claude Van Damme.

I remember when i was a young man in my teens and life was a little rough on me , my parents were abusive and kids at school were bullies , i really enjoyed watching Jean Claude in kickboxer, and then i really liked double impact, i found him to be very inspiring , always a good guy and very motivational, watching him on screen , somehow made me feel a little better about myself and i began to have confidence to stand up to bad people who were mean to me back then , Jean Claude will always be a great guy and a hero to me in my book, he was looked up to by alot of young people back then

Angel lovely - Jean Claude Van Damme is a star. All stars are suns. If it is any consolation to you, Jean Claude Van Damme has already passed the belief in death to his children and therefore, has violated the Natural Law passed the point where he could remain in this life always. Death is Eternity Inside of the Sun. Life is the greatest gift of all. Some people want to be stars. Everyone has a free will to do whatever they want in this life. Our goal should be to obtain eternal life so that we can remain in this life always, not to follow stars back to the Sun. Say Goodbye to Hollywood.

I liked "Hard Target ". It was the first Hollywood movie directed by famed Hong Kong director John Woo, before he did "Face/Off". Otherwise, my favorite Van Damme film would be "JCVD". Even though he's playing himself, in a fictional story, his performance was touching. His best, really.
Van Dame's movie" In Hell" is a badass movie and a must watch . Has a really good storyline ( hes inside a corrupt Russian prison that forces inmates to fight eachother for sport whether the inmate wanted too or not and the guard's and Warden and his rich friends would gamble on the fights) and the fight scene are really good and really gritty no holds barred street fights where anything goes rules. Its nothing like his highly coreograph fight stuff he typically does. Movie is a must watch highly recommended
he will always be my favorite action hero no matter what

*Me:* _"Nothing makes me laugh anymore..."_ *Frank Dux:* _"Van Damme was a fraud!"_
Still my fav actor
I was always highly critical of Van Damme. Terrible films with even worse acting. Then I stumbled on the movie JCVD. The scene where the camera draws back and exposes the set. With the grips standing there in the camera shot Van Damme stares into the camera and exposes his soul. Anyone who’s watched the movie knows the scene I’m talking about. With tears in his eyes he comes clean about squandering his life and career. The drugs, bad relationships, bad movies, bad head. It’s really quite moving and in my opinion, redemptive. I felt empathy, respect and instantly changed my opinion of him. I like him and wish him only the best.
JCVD is very underrated ❤️! Even by today’s standards!
JCVD has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. This was a ‘plus’ as far as his drive to succeed was concerned, but a ‘minus’ as he got close to age 40. JCVD was once so ‘healthy & fit’ that he could pass for being 10 to 15 years ‘younger’ than his chronological age. In the film ‘The Quest’ the 35-year-old JCVD could have passed for 25. Tragically, JCVD frequently ‘self-medicated’ his bipolar disorder with alcohol, cocaine, and other hard substances. Then he began to look ‘older’ than he actually was, and film producers began ‘denying’ him new action roles that he wanted. In one instance he actually had a ‘meltdown’ caught on home video that went viral a few years ago. By the early 2000s the genre of most martial arts action-style movies was all but dead. Most of these movies went straight to DVD, which was a clear sign that the stars of these films were ‘past their primes’ as far as being marketable to large audiences was concerned. ‘The Expendables’ series pays homage to the great action stars of the last century, who (for the most part) don’t connect with young Millennials and Gen Z audiences the way they did with Gen Xers and Baby Boomers.

I wonder if she liked Bangkok?
I love this guy. To bad his life went sideways. I also thought he was a good actor. GOD BLESS HIM & HIS FAMILY.
his real name is jean claude van vaerenberg sometimes spelled: jean claude van vaerenbergh , his fighting days were before the takeoff of the internet but if you look under that name you can find his records (either typed or photographs of newspaper cutouts from the time), aswell as some old vhs homevideo recordings of these fights)
