The Ultimate Step and Punch Instructional Video
Спорт
The Ultimate Step and Punch Instructional Video. Tom Yankello of the @World Class Boxing Channel teaches you properly on how to step and punch which is so vital and imperative in this sport. In this boxing drill, you will throw 8 punches in each direction. Every punch that is thrown, when it is extended that is which foot is to hit the ground. Tom demonstrates how you synchronize your feet and hands so that you know when each one should land. Danny throws 8 punches moving forward and then shows you which hand and foot you should bring back so that you can do the 8 punches moving backwards. He shows you how to maintain proper feet spacing when performing directional movements so that you have a strong foundation to throw your punches. Tom provides instruction on which foot is to move first, how to move your feet and punch, and how to practice this in an 8 punch drill that has you moving in multiple directions. Tom also provides instruction to show you how to correct common mistakes. This is an incredible instructional video. Tom's current instructional videos for sale at www.worldclassboxinggym.com include footwork. He will soon be releasing a series on the heavy bag and a series on shadowboxing that include an incredibly detailed footwork instruction. You won't want to miss it!

Hidden gem of a channel
You are a master Tom. You teach me how to move with my feet, thank you.
You made video two years ago that where he stepped back he threw the jab before he brought the left foot back. Now you say to bring the left foot back before you jab. Both seem to make since to me. But you were saying not to do it in this video. But in the one two years ago, soon as the back foot landed it was ok for the jab come out before the left foot came back. Talk about it….
Today is truly back to school day Coach... I love footwork drills and the step and hit is so on point... Today is 40 years since the passing of Joe Louis... The Brown Bomber was probably the best heavyweight of all times based on fundamentals, and he never wasted a punch and ensured he stepped with them, meaning he was always perfectly balanced, so he could throw combinations if the openings were there.

Yes exactly TJ! 👊🏼💯🔥
Thanks coach , you really can’t get enough of the basics!
Gyms open tomorrow in the uk im going to be all over your vids hope your all well stay safe
I don't know what it's like in USA but in UK this is really unheard of Info. Most "coaches" don't even go into any depth of detail one bit. This blows them away Thank you Sir.
Very good drill.
can't wait for the next video coach ,thank you
Thank you for this. Been needing this for a bit
Amazing

Nice....Coach, all your instructional videos are great...Thank you.
This is perfect for someone that wanna switch stance, slowly but surely developing speed and coordination from both stance.Iam no fan boy but i never seen someone that go deep in details and i have been around the block
I am trying too avoid developing bad habits at this point so this video is a helpful reminder not to get stuck in a lunge. 😂 Thanks for being there to help your coach get these videos out Danny, and best of luck to you Champ. 🥊
I appreciate this very much! 👊
another great lesson thanks coach
strong fundamentals = strong fighter
Coach, in your exclusive boxing seminar “learn how to throw the jab”, you have the right foot and jab in Sync while going/circling right, as opposed to moving the right foot right then having the jab and left foot in sync like in this lesson. What am I missing?
Best trainer in the world
There´s always great to remember these drills in order to polish your striking technique. Coach Yankello´s teachings are in another level of perfection, in my case, great to mix this up with my Muay Thai and Kickboxing training. Thanks Coach 💪
Master your boxing tutorial is best thank you 🙏
I love watching your videos…. They are very informative …. I appreciate the time and work you put into teaching the science … I watch at least 3 of your videos a day…. Thank you again
Another super lesson. I can say that is easier to watch than to do........
Thank you so much 🙏
First Tom vid I ever watched
thanks so much
This is a great drill for me to work!!!
Merci beaucoup
Amazing channel
we don't have such good and technical boxing teachers in Brazil it's harder to learn since I'm not fluent in English (I'm using translator) but I'm glad you share all this knowledge for us here from so far away, thank you God bless you
an idea for next video. explanation or oppinion on power of mike tysons punches, or the techinque of his punches. there are a lot of videos on his defence-windshield wiper, and his strategy and style-peekaboo style, but i rarely see videos on his amazing power punches with which he knocked down a lot of his rivals during his prime. this is even more interesting when you see his size - because he was relatively short with short arms.
Best boxing coach on KZread 👍
Watching this again years later make so much more sense now!!!!
Thanks for this drill coach
Thank you very much Couch, the Lord bless you

Hey Coach! Have you made a video on the pivot? Stepping came naturally to me, but I can't say the same for pivoting. Thank you.
Еще и разноименную ходьбу теперь ))
thank you coach ! Is it always a mistake to synchronise the hand with the opposite foot ?
I wish you had a video strictly on hitting while moving backwards. Everyone teaches forward movement. No one focuses on backward movement and moving backwards is more important. I wish there was a drill video on backwards movement A supplemental video to your instructional package focused on backwards movement, how to punch and evade attacks while moving backwards, would be great.

@@WorldClassBoxingChannel I saw the video. It was good. You don’t see too many people do back and forth. But it would be nice to see a video that prioritizes backward movement
🔥❤️🔥❤️
0:35 whatever hand he throw when its exdend thats what foot hits the ground 0:45 timing the step with punch (not after punch ) 1:15 syncronice feet with hands 2:20 back foot step first going back 2:35 jab movin forward and back (I land jab when front foot move not back foot Whatever hand I throw thats foot it moves ) 3:30 maintain feet distance when moving 3:50 movin back :(without back foot step Just like blitz stephen!!!? ) Yeah when doing it mulitple times not just two . But first step if I want change direction gkin back or forward back foot move first forwad if goin forward or back if going back 4:00 movin forward : back moves first (goes back to place )becz I was throwing rt hand backward foot moving back 4:25 back foot not only goes back flat (no it goes back further too) 4:40 back foot not only goes flat goes forward too 5:10 maintain distance (not too close when movin back foot forwaed or back ) 6:15 when moving left and right (same concept pronciples Back foot moves to side first when first time changing direction ) 7:30 switches shifts in other video 8:10 practice it differense ways :shadowboxing 8:55 bring foot back 10:45 its not slide its step 11:05 moving left n right with just jab (both feet moves ) 11:45 but (when left foot land my jab land) 13:00 show again
Wotever direction u go move the foot at that side easy explaination lol great shit
Plz make a video on how to have cardio for 12 rounds of boxing
Awesome video! Honest question: If you're a short fighter, and have to clear a LOT of ground to cut off the ring, can using this, but with more of a gazelle punch and/or switching type of footwork be useful? If so, can you demonstrate how to do it properly? I feel like short legs, taking short steps, isn't enough to catch a tall, fast fighter on his bicycle. I'm trying to figure out the correct way to not stop the forward momentum and continue flowing through it. It seems like recovering the stance has a one-two-pause-one-two-pause rhythm, and on that pause, the opponents gone and/or countering.
First! 🥊
Great video! It helps alot. I have one question: When going back, you teach that the jab should hit at the same time as the lead foot, but in this other video you made ( kzread.info/dash/bejne/d6RsyLd8ebKpZZs.html&ab_channel=WorldClassBoxingChannel ) you teach the jab hits at the same time as the rear foot. What is the reason for that? Kind regards Yaw

Not sure if he changes his opinion with more experience over time or if it's something else.
Can you tell me why old school bobbing and weaving is rarely utilized anymore , I have a bunch of old boxing books which demonstrate the technique but I hardly see it.
good gosh great vid but

Subtitulos en español please!! 🙏🏽
👍✅
Damn I can't get it I need a coach like tommy but only I live in San Antonio TX.
When should you step with the punches, and when should you throw them stationary?
Whos the hot WCBC t-shirt model!?
kid looks like thomas shelbey from peakey blinders
On a video about 3 years ago you mentioned you should step backwards with the jab but in this video you say you should step then jab with your lead leg. Which one is right

Coach in this video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/d6RsyLd8ebKpZZs.html you contradict yourself when speaking about jabbing backwards. You say the opposite about jabbing with the opposite foot landing. Could you please clarify?
Am i the only one seeing the step back that he is describing is wrong even the guy gets confused and steps how its natural with the left leg first
Man what's your number?💯
I’m no expert by any means. However, I’ve seen that Danny has a habit och closing his eyes whenever he throws a punch. Just saying it in case you guys hasnt noticed it. Have a nice day.
that's good
