How To Slip the One Two Punch then Step In and Smother the Right Hand
Спорт
How To Slip the One Two Punch then Step In and Smother the Right Hand! In today's video, Tom Yankello of the @World Class Boxing Channel teaches you another way to defend the one two. In the last video, Tom taught how to parry the one two. If the boxer slips the jab that is thrown at his face. Tom explains how if you have the proper shoulder trajectory, then you can just use a twist to slip the punch. This saves you time from having to dip. He slips the jab, and when he has the right hand thrown at him, he is going to step in and smother in to run to the power to smother the right hand. This puts out the fire. When in this position, you could tie him up, pivot on him, throw a right uppercut, can throw your hand around his hips to turn him around. This is a great way to defend the one two. Finally a real boxing coach that understands the sweet science
That turn move was what Roberto Duran use to do all the time. It was called the waltz such an effective and graceful move
Thanks coach! Got a tko in my first match because of you. Appreciate all the content
The only coach I ever see teaching that shoulder trajectory 💥🔥

4:15 that was soo cute 😭 I love how u correct him even in the video so we can learn right ❤❤❤
I like this. Can’t wait to do it 1000 times. 🤦🏽♂️🤣😂💪🏽🥊
I love this in MMA to to get into the clinch thanks Coach
Coach Tom. You are so correct. Boxing is all about inches and decision making... When to slip and when to slip and dip and when to step in and smother and so on and so forth. I really love boxing school with my teacher Coach Tom. Can it all really be so simple?
5:09 The little guy in the background is gonna be the middletown champ of the world and we'll reference this video of him running around the heavy bags 20 years from now!
Dang, this is legit. Thank you. Will be purchasing material from you.
This is very frustrating to face opponent with is technique in there skill set. Attacking the balance again coach😉 nice!
Another top move for my boxing BANK thank you Danny and Tom
I really like this method, it’s great for a aggressive fighter like me to get in even easier and will really surprise and discourage my bigger opponents from punching. I saw Bernard Hopkins do it once.
Valuable info! Thanks so much
Mr yankello you are a great teacher of the sport of boxing . Your knowledge of the sweet science is beyond great . And all this knowledge for free !!! Salute to you great video 🥊🥊

The best boxing channel!! Could you make a video where you explain how to drop the shoulder to throw the hook to the body or uppercut? Thank you Master👍
This is science. My # 1 channel.❤️👍
after so much work with coach y, i would be afraid to fight against danny
Great teaching 💪🏾
Could u do more series about defense against combo?
Love it🔥🔥🔥🥊🥊

We are all truly blessed by your videos coach 💯💥🥊🗡🛡🙏
incredible follow-up on the previous video. Implementing these techniques in my training routine is really paying off. much appreciation.
Fabulous lesson, Chief! Smooth moves

I am so glad I found this channel. There is no other one on youtube teaching so good
Thank you Coach Yankello. Awesome video.
Awesome content coach. Never noticed I was slipping too far over. This i why I love the sweet science... A very nuanced art.
Coach Tom. I really can’t wait until you put out that defense instructional. Those gems on how to slips by inches is goal. Please drop soon! I’m copping !
Just great!!!
My god thats some impressive and effective coaching, thank you coach, once again

This is golden.
Exactly 👍🏽everything he said.
Rolling with the punches and slipping
Father and son a dream team!
This coach maybe the best on KZread
Top demais!
Nice again Tom. A similar thing can be done on a head lock. Using your right hand on their right elbow gets you out with the same footwork you are showing as Danny goes under the armpit. Except they are normally coming to you
I love this
Really good coach
thanks yankello. 한국에서도 잘 보고 있습니다. 항상 좋은 복싱스킬을 무료로 알려줘서 고마워요.
0:10 defend 1n 2 /slip jab /smother rt hand Other video (parry) 0:18 slip jab(differnt ways to slip) But slip should be like jab twist (Slip is twist too) 0:45 I don't have to dip/do that extra move If he aim for my face I just twist 1:05 becz boxing is all about inches 1:15 becz Iam in that shoulder trajactory /with that hip hinge when I twist I get power to throw rt hand 2:22 insted if slip jab and stepping back defending cross I step into shot (slip jab /step into shot ) 3:00 slip and jab (same way twist ) 3:14 slip /smother /then I can do different stuffs Grab his body (tie it up) / or I just throw rt uppercut/ or I can pivot conr style (its similar to shift and switch but its not ) 3:45 or I can just turn him /get my rt hand around his back and catch the other side and turn him 4:15 all way around back 5:20 hand all way around back show 4:35 show again 4:45 things that move ppl in boxing (head control (like horse turn whole body ) / elbow /hips) 5:30 great way dwfend 1 n2 and different ways to counter it
Great teacher very wise

These two guys are amazing. I wish they trained in my country Kenya 🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪
Good insights. It'd be better with some example of fighters using this strategy
Boxing is great ❤
Caleb Plant does this all the time, Vergil Ortiz Jr. on his last fight. great move!
Just like the way Macho Camacho turned opponents 👌
perfect.
I like the way Danny smother right hand..hug you with the innocence of a 5 year old kid..and then pretending some deadly uppercuts😁👍 thnx for the tip..one more time
Hey coach, love your videos. What are your thoughts on a slip, slip for when a 1,2 is thrown at you ? is it dangerous because you are bringing your head back to the midline and could potentially get caught with their 2 ? is a slip, weave a better option ?
❤️🔥❤️🔥
Danny trying to fade his hair went wrong boy. I'm playing champ
Sir Can u make video on how to punch while slipping
Coach Yankello how do you smother the one two combo from the Southpaw stance? Against a Orthodox stance ?
💪👌👍👏
Very high risk
Legitimate question: do you think your student’s left hand is hanging too low when moving inside? Seems like something a skilled fight could pick up on, and eventually punish. Love your videos. I train my friends (to the best of my ability), and quite often use your videos for reference.
tell that boy in the back get back to work!
I suppose that works in MMA as well.
He can sneak the right hand to the body as he smothers also?
I’ve been to a lot of boxing coach n spent $100s a week just for private lessons and I’ve learned more here than I ever learned in those private lessons what a waste of money, I just fired my coach Because he said how my getting better and he never taught me that I told him about this channel he wanted me to stop watching it I’m like hell no
Can you do this as a Southpaw? If not, how can you?
There is no way you would have time to step to smother a proper one two in a fight imo. The answer is to slip, dip, and then the smother can be an option after that. Most times the right hand will fall over the top of you anyway when you drop down that little bit further after the slip.
This also depends on how tall you are
I NEED YOUR TRAINING FOR 6 MONTHS CONTINUOSLY AND ILL BE THE SUPER LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD!!!
Throw it fast..he is going to take it in the face...lol

For the love of god someone buy that kid some Sabas or Cletos.

Sabas are junk. I know because I wasted my money on two pairs that I later ended up donating to my gym. And no one at the gym who tried them ever ordered a pair. If you want to damage your opponent and don't have hand issues, Cleto Reyes fight gloves are a good choice, but not so much for their regular/classic training/sparring glove. That said, I know they've since responded to the many years of complaints about their training gloves and finally created the more heavily stuffed training glove option that hopefully addressed this issue. I screwed my hand up with Reyes' and never went back after I got my 1990, made in the Bronx, New York, Everlast 2416 training gloves. Despite their initial cost, Winning gloves are likely the single greatest value of any training/sparring glove on the market for the serious boxer. Considering how much money one typically spends over a lifetime on all the many poor, mediocre, or merely adequate gloves they'll go through in a lifetime, a pair of Winning gloves is a veritable bargain. If you don't get the fancier colors or personalization, you can get them for $310 for the (16oz) MS-600 model at store.winning-usa.com/index.html. Be mindful that many other websites are selling fake Winning gloves and only a small handful are authorized to sell the real deal. The website I posted is from the lone US distributor, Mr. Kazumichi, in Redondo Beach, CA. If money is no object, then the best USA made training/sparring gloves are made by John Golomb. The 2416 is a timeless classic and my favorite glove of all time. I only mentioned these brands because I have extensive experience with all of them and would never disparage or recommend any brands or models without said experience.

@@Cambodia69 I have a pair of cleto's which i'm more than pleased with and I have had some pretty legit dudes recommend sabas if you want a good pair of gloves for the money I would check out TopBoxer.Winnings are pretty legit and I just checked out John Golomb, looks sick thanks bro.
You need to step in with your jab. If you double up it won't work.
