What’s a good alternative/modification to a shoulder roll if my shoulders aren’t wide enough to cover my chin easily? I was thinking about using my rear hand as extra protection during a shoulder roll.

The only thing that truly sticks is that repetition coach is talking about. Point being the % of the actual drills vs explaining makes no sense. Love the lesson tho but we're coolong down coach 😂❤

High level stuff. Bud Crawford is the master of that sneaky step outside in open stance off of a slip. Shakur Stevenson and Bam Rodriguez utilize it, too.

One of the best explanations of Philly shell that I’ve seen. As a lankier fighter, I have recently discovered that Philly shell is a much more comfortable stance for me

There seems a schism on stepping with the jab versus twisting (see Tony Jefferies youtubes for example) that is some people (modern) seem to swear blind that you only step for power and do not twist at all on jab but other people (esp old skool) say you twist your hips for power. [ve seen people swear blind both sets of ideas I can see why if you step not twist, you might not interrupt the flow of your straight or hook so can maybe send punches closer together but I'm curious about the discrepancy

What happens if someone really targets your liver? Because I've sparred with people who rolled with my shot like this and I've always gone for the body shots and never felt like their elbows wouold truly be able to block my shots because the left hook could be going for the head
