The Ultimate Guitarist's Secret Weapon: Eventide H90
Музыка
In this video, James Ivey from The Studio Rats gives you his guided tour of the Eventide H90. Yes, it's a very cool and powerful effects processor, but H90 is also a performance tool, a studio effect, and so much more. James not only shows off some of his favourite H90 programs and presets, he also shows you how to create your own programs from scratch in an extended tutorial.
Thanks to Eventide for letting us have a go the fantastic H90. You can find out more about the H90 at: www.eventideaudio.com/pedals/...
The Studio Rats are core band members Paul Drew on guitar/production/mixing and drummer and engineer James Ivey. They collaborate with singers and musicians to produce radio-ready songs.

Everyone says you need one of these. When first released they sold out almost instantly. I also intend to get one, but I need to pay off my current guitars first. Confessions of a guitar addict :)
Honestly, with an H90 and a Tonex (loaded with all your amps and OD pedals), you don’t need much else.
Yes been looking forward to this. 🔥🎸🤟🏻
Thanks James, I couldn't agree more just sounds the best ! H90 and H9 in a stereo insert, a perfect combination.
Very helpful! Thank you.
Finally, thought this will never happen but of coarse a nice suprize, thanks a lot!!!
anything without paul making passive-aggressive remarks is always going to be an awesome one. LOL!

Well done.
Love this pedal. I've had it for a couple of months now and it is full of possibilities. This is my second digital pedal my other being a boss gt1000 core. I am really digging multi effects pedals.

I also have that pair. I consider the core much more irreplaceable, but the H90's poly pitch shifting and looper are the best out there, and when I don't need those, there's plenty of other special goodies in there. One of my least favorite things about the GT is the lack of a second reverb block, and, obviously, the H90 delivers on that. Though I was underwhelmed with its regular Room verb options, you can basically make the hall anything, and the SP2016 I like better than the regular Room and plate.
In my eyes… indisposed… ⚫️☀️ Hah, I was wondering all video what the hotel reception-style bell was for. Very good. 😂 🛎️
Great stuff! But I'm pretty sure it's a little too much for me. Too many options... But I would love to try one and have some time to mess around with it!
Dream Theater on a Tele. The way it was meant to be played 😂😂
How would this sit alongside one of the Boss IR-2’s do you think? An interesting do it all rig possibly?

Yes absolutely
Hi James, I am right in thinking that the H90 can only run 2 effects and you will need to add pedals if you won't more effects. Cheers

No, it is two algorithms. Which can only one effect, but many are multi effect chains. So it just depends upon the algorithms you choose.

There are multi-fx algos like modechoverb and spacetime, but the FX internal to those are locked in. Modechoverb has a a mod, a delay, and a verb but you can't make the verb a black hole, and lack a lot of the tweak ability of even the standard room or hall verb settings. That said, the algos made for the H90 (that aren't on the 9) are generally more expansive in options. In the case of sticky tape, you could use it just as an alternative to standard flanging or doubling or drive or comp or any combination.
Sounds great but I prefer plug in an play. All this equipment that you need to plug into your computer and make updates is over my head. I recently bought the tone x and had to return it for that same reason. Too much BS. That’s just me though, I realize it’s a walk in the park for many. I’m in my late forty’s and never got into the computer BS.
I have the H9 great sounds but a pain in the ass to edit
Very nice James, but £900+ out of reach for most of us.
Some of the sounds are pretty trippy and all but some stuff seems to be you hit a note and then the unit does all kinds of different harmony notes and stuff from there which kind of takes away from the musician making the music. Nice as tonal colour but once the device starts making the music for me I lose interest.
Cool pedal, way too much menu diving for me.
The distortion/overdrive/fuzz sounds on the h90 pretty much all blow. This is a fun sound design pedal otherwise. Def not a must have.
As far as my pedals go i have Fulltone Deja vibes.. Electro harmonix Good vibes.. Dunlop jimi Hendrix band of gypsies Fuzz face.. Dunlop/MXR Echoplex analog tape delay.. Electro harmonix Memory Toy analog delay.. Electro harmonix hot wax duel overdrive pedal.. Dunlop Crybaby Classic Wah with red fasel..i also have Boss GT-8 and line6 floor Pod plus both still very Relevant today..so im good to go
