Thank you both for your informative video! My hubby and I are going on our first Alaskan cruise in the fall on a Princess ship. I'm researching everything from food, to excursions, to tips and I so appreciate your tips on this video and others I've watched. (Chambord is a raspberry liqueur. I had it years ago in a yummy margarita. Grand Mariner - an orange liqueur - makes a margarita yummier too.)

Oh, and the Chambord! It's made from red and black raspberries, Madagascar vanilla, Moroccan citrus peel, honey and cognac. Very very tasty.

My two favorite cocktails and princess one is the Keylime pie martini so yummy and then the Baccarat. The raspberry martini also very yummy

Long Island Iced Tea has left me dancing like a fiend on a few of the Princess/Carnival ships! Bam!!

My mum LOVED the berry berry! I loved the Beverly Hills iced tea, delicious but lethal lol. Loved the mocktails

Honest Cruising it was my birthday and asked the waiter in the wheelhouse what he’d recommend as I love a sour drink, the first sip I wasn’t sure lol but it was lovely tho I don’t think I’d be able to walk after a couple lol.

Keep an eye out for the ‘Super Tuscan’ wine tasting🙀very nice.👍🏼

If you get to elite status you get a mini bar set up. With your soda package you can get a half pint delivered to your room and make your own in your room. Plus currently they are including beverage packages the cruise now

One thing to keep in mind is most people's consumption of beverages drop sharply in the latter part of the cruise. Many tend to overestimate their capacity. Overall, the soft drink package is probably the best buy. Compared to the drink packages of most of the other cruise lines, Princess actually has a fairly good deal.

Great tip to check out the welcome back reception! - I won Elite status including a free mini-bar and wine tasting. Sadly, I had to give up Elite and return to Ruby after the cruise was done.

Yes, we got drinks vouchers when we attended.

...Chambord is a Raspberry flavored liquor sometime served over ice cream too....

I found the coffee package really great value, still have some to use so I’m just going to have to book another cruise lol. We loved the soda package, loved the virgin Bloody Mary with extra spice. Great value too was buying a bottle of wine at dinner, my mum would have just 1 or 2 glasses but worked out better value to choose a nice bottle and it’s put away and brought out at your next meal.

Princess changed the coffee card policy...no longer valid after the duration of your cruise.

On our last cruise we used our trusty highlighter to highlight in our cruise guide where and when there was free or discounted liquor

Love the DB! Had one every day. The ultimate intersection of childhood and adulthood in a drink. LOL

So, the hubs and i are considering not purchasing a drink package, but rather allocating a $500 drink budget (roughly the cost of one unlimited drink package) plus a coffee card to be shared between us.

Mocktails are good for me as I don’t drink at all so the Skoda package sounds good for me to have and decaf coffee too

One of the nice things about Princess Cruises is that a lot of times they include a drinks package into their deals for free.

I really enjoyed the cocktail "Bundy Canecutter" on my last Princess cruise. Although it may be only available in Australia since its based on Bundy (Bundaberg, Queensland) rum. I hope not .......it is yummmy!

Princess does offer a thing called Sip and Sail Package that is a sale / Promotion item for upcoming cruises if you have a change to get this it comes with a Drink package.. Why pay for it is you can get it free. Thanks Guys, great vid.

If you purchased the package with the mocktails, but wanted to have a few with spirits, would they just charge you the difference?

Along the lines of not having to pay for the soda part of an alcoholic drink if you have the soda package - if you had the coffee package would you not have to pay for the coffee part of an Irish coffee??

We have purchased the Princess Plus plan for a 15 day cruise. However we are bringing 4 bottles of special wine to enjoy with dinner. I know that we will pay 15 bucks per bottle corkage when we board. If we ask the waiter or som to open the bottle in the dining room, how much should we tip them?

You can pre-order bottled water, a dozen 500ml for your stateroom for something like $15-but it must be ordered before you cruise. This saves a lot compared to buying them separately at the bar. Also, some of the mocktails are pretty good. Virgin Bloody Marys, mojitos, and piña coladas, for example.

Lots of free champagne, I lost track the number of concoctions I had. LOL! Based on what I had ordered, the bartender Allan at Crooner's mixed me an AMF, said I'd like it...it has been a long time favorite of mine!

Can you or any of your viewers confirm for me if I bring on extra bottles of wine does the 15 dollars corkage paid on embarkation cover corkage in the dinning room ? or do you then pay again another 15 dollar fee in dinning room. I have never seen anyone take their own wine bottle in to dinning room . Would love to as the wine list shows most wine working out about 35-45 dollars per bottle .Thanks folks who have cruised Princess before for some advice .

It's a one time charge upon boarding the ship of $15 U.S. per bottle. Bottles can be consumed in your cabin or in the dining lounge.

Hey Joseph. We don't buy internet packages generally on ships as they tend to be expensive and generally slow.
