Loved my very first cruise, happened to be sapphire princess 2wks in May around the med. 3 generations, my mum a seasoned princess cruise guest, my 19yr old daughter and me. My daughters first cruise too but we never had an idle minute, lots to see on do and loved sea days! I was delighted that it really went above and beyond my expectations. Food was amazing ( loved how hand washing was encouraged so much) afternoon tea was a lovely treat but the staff, every single staff member had a smile and was so friendly. The staff really did make the cruise special. The group on board were fab and the entertainment in general was outstanding. I look forward to my next princess cruise!

maggie polsean you won’t be disappointed! Went on my very first cruise for 2wks on med in May on sapphire. It was everything I expected AND more. I don’t think I could do another cruise line tbh. The service was outstanding,not one single fault. Food amazing as was entertainment

Hi guys. We love you and plan on taking a Princess Cruise to Great Britain in September of 2022. I’m disabled and on continuous oxygen. I have not seen any information from anyone about cruising, travel, equipment or excursion for the disabled. I’ve only been on two cruises in the past. I have had to travel a bit before the oxygen so have some information on that. If you’re flying, make your reservation by phone. If you have a scooter or electric wheel chair or other battery powered equipment make sure the equipment meets FAA standards. If buying equipment, keep travel in mind. Scooters and other equipment should document under specifications, if the equipment is FAA approved. Also, research various types of equipment to see what’s available. I ended up with a scooter that can be taken apart and fit in the trunk of the car. It doesn’t really work for flying. After a little research I found folding scooters. These scooters often advertise they are accepted by most airlines and cruise lines. They are pricey. Mine folds and unfolds with the click of a button. When folded it is the size of a carry on and weighs 50 pounds. There are companies that rent equipment for travel. Our last cruise was before the purchase of a scooter. We rented one which was delivered to our cabin before our arrival. If you need oxygen, you need to have a portable oxygen concentrator. Also very pricey. Many like scooters are airline friendly. If you own your equipment you’ll need extra batteries to travel with. Are there any other available tours besides those offered by cruise lines for wheelchair. We found them inadequate. Also, cruise line price for a car, driver, and guide for eight hours is $1000. That’s ridiculous! Make sure you ask for an accessible cabin. Our cabin on Princess was awesome! Any tips you hav are very welcome. I’m very paranoid of taking an outside tour and missing the boat.

We are booked on the Pacific Princess 2020 World cruise and have enjoyed 21 cruises over the past 20 years. We just love Princess and have always felt so cared for🛳☮🌻😍👍

I love love love princess but I have to wait until January of 2020 to go on her again. We're booked on the sky princess. We found a great deal where the balcony cabins are as much as the interior rooms so we grabbed it.

Early next year I'm going on my first cruise. It will be a 10 night Asian cruise aboard the Sapphire Princess. I am so anxious.

Great video. One other thing stands out for me. This is the online booking system where you can (if you book early enough) choose a specific cabin on a specific deck.You get a no nonsense description of the area of the cabin, its amenities and the cost.This is especially helpful to those travelers who want a cabin in a quieter part of the ship.This system is vastly superior to some other cruise lines who assure you will be allocate a cabin somewhere at a later stage.

You are confusing a cabin assignment with a guaranteed cabin. All cruise lines will allow you to pick any available cabin. If you book on a guarantee, you get a lower price but the cruise line guarantees you that category or higher. It's a gamble, you could get a a badly situated cabin in that category or a free upgrade. I booked the lowest priced balcony on a 23 day cruise and got upgraded to a mini suite that was just under a Club Class mini suite. I was doing cartwheels. Mind you I am Elite.

What I found were the most amazing parts of Princess are the TVs and the Beds. They has mastered the bedding, the pillows rising up after I sink in it. The TVs I may have loved too much. I brought all my electronics as a care free 14 year old a few years ago and it was such a waste of space as the TVs were like your own Netflix. It was still limited but I remember watching Home Alone like 5 times and my sister made me watch some marvel movies (the old ones.)

On my last Princess cruise, i learned that they’re owned by the Carnival corp. “If it’s the same parent company, i wonder if Carnival cruises count towards Princess status (and vice versa)”, since I went on a couple Carnival cruises years ago. I found out that the answer is no upon asking Guest Services. It was worth asking about anyway, i thought.

Thanks for this informative video. I've travelled on around six different cruise lines over the years. Sailed on the Sea Pricess, out of Australia, and sadly it was like a floating nursing home with lots of very frail elderly passengers. The seas became rough, and I wonder how many of the frail passengers had falls? I've never seen this on any other cruise line.

Sailing princess in 2 days!

Regarding the drink packages, you did not mention the dining room wine packages, which we always do. I think they refer to them as Silver, Gold, and ????. They get you a number of bottles for a discounted price and for any price bottle over the package limit. They just charge the incremental. I think this may only be available on 7+ day cruises.

If you drink a lot of non-alcoholic beverages, I would recommend Princess' soft drink package. It's not exactly cheap ($7-$8/person/day), but it makes getting soft drinks a little more convenient. (You should note this is for fountain soft drinks; canned/bottled soft drinks are not included.) The best thing about Princess' soft drink package is, in contrast to other lines, the package also includes "virgin" cocktails (you can order a "virgin" Bloody Mary with everything but the booze; you don't really miss it) and fruit juices (though not smoothies. If you drink two mock-cocktails you come out ahead for that day. "Specialty" coffees are not included, though another package is offered for those. However, to come out ahead with any of the beverage packages you have to be an awfully thirsty person. Many passengers overestimate their capacity for beverages. For most passengers, beverage consumption declines sharply towards the end of the cruise, so overall it might be cheaper to simply pay separately for each beverage. (Regular coffee, tea, and water are complementary.)

Could you elaborate on how having the soft drink package makes it more convenient? I am sailing on my first ever cruise this June and it is with Princess. Trying to figure out if I want the soft drink package, but not sure of the logistics of it. How do they know who in your group has the package? How does this play out in the main dining room? Anything you can add would be so helpful. Thank you!

@@Audpod1014 With the advent of Princess' Medallion system, the convenience of the drink package may have lessened somewhat. The drink packages are not meant to be shared; though not required, each passenger in your group is expected to have their own drink package. (Only one glass per visit to a bar; if I wanted two drinks for myself and my wife I had to carry up and show the bartender both my card and my wife's.) Before Medallion, the ship would put a special sticker on your ship card. (No replacement for the sticker; if you lost your ship card you wouldn't get a new sticker on the replacement card.) Without a drink package sticker on your ship card, the bartender/waiter would have to take your card to charge your billing, run it through the ship's system, print out a slip, and have you sign the slip before serving. With the sticker, you simply flashed your ship card, told the bartender which soft drink/fruit juice/non-alcoholic cocktail you wanted and they would speedily serve it. With the new Medallion system, however, bartenders/waiters now will take your medallion to authorize service whether you have a drink package or not, so that convenience aspect may no longer be applicable. When they engage the medallion, a picture appears on a screen where they can verify that you're you. So, no swapping medallions among members of your group to try to cheat the system. However, I would still recommend the Princess soft drink package. Two "mocktails" (non-alcoholic cocktails) a day, or 3-4 soft drinks/fruit juices a day, would more than pay for the package. Whether or not it is worthwhile depends on how fond you are for drinks. Hope you have a great cruise.

I’m booked on the Ruby Princess for a January sailing that I booked after watching your videos. This will be my first cruise, am I’m a little concerned about the food options on this ship. They do not have an Alfredo’s but do have the steak restaurant. We are taking it from Galveston Texas USA because we can drive from Dallas Texas. Do you think it will be an okay cruise? Would love to know your thoughts. We have also booked another cruise for February on the Allure of the seas. I am taking my Dad on both cruises and we are both Seniors, he’s 95 and I’m 62.

A helpful video -- thank you. Still, solo passengers tend to be ignored by some cruise lines, and I'm afraid you did too. How does Princess treat solo cruisers in terms of rooms and seating in the dining rooms? Any studio cabins, or a break on price if only doubles are available?

Hey William. Unfortunately Princess don't offer solo cabins or do anything special onboard for solo travellers beyond a solo meet up. No break on the price too. They charge between 150-200% of the price. Dining you can request Traditional dining so you will be with the same people each evening.

My question is, can you use the pool and loungers at the Sanctuary for free? Or is the fee just for the covered beds?

It's all competition on the ocean for other cruisesline's in order to win pure customer satisfaction.. cruising corporation's upgrde fleet interior's sometime's just to win your appreciation to come back for more cruises and to spend the extra buck's on separate item's in the fleet on board all ship's which you could frequent..

Royal caribbean has the smallest cabins

The Majestic White Elephant. We prefer Princess as it offers a more mature kid free atmosphere. After sailing on Royal we had high expectations for the Majestic. 22 days Shanghai to Sydney made you want to jump ship. Princess staples were gone. No Wheelhouse, no disco, 1 sail away party, only 1 dance floor ( Piaza), Crooners is a converted Casino which is a thoroughfare from theatre, no Churchill’s, Vista no bar, casino no bar, 1 production show per week, atrium bars had eskies to provide a variety of drinks as not enough bars, no theme nights except formal, no Sanctuary, only 2 small pools, bingo was an afterthought and badly run in Princess live, no walking track( all have dead ends), near impossible to get drinks in Vista and Princess theatre as bars were so far away it took the crew forever to deliver. The ship was designed for a Chinese market not for the rest of the World. We already have future bookings on Princess and will be Elite in four more(May 2019). The crew were fantastic and tried their best to work in a White Elephant. If you enjoy the Princess staples I would not recommend Majestic. Cheers Chris.

Roughly, Grand, Golden, Star, Diamond, Sapphire, Caribbean, Crown, Emerald and Ruby Princesses, at least one (Golden) is likely to leave Princess Cruises soon. Ventura and Azura which are P&O UK ships.

The Grand class ships are the Grand Princess, Golden Princess and Star Princess. The Golden was sold to P & O Cruises as of October 1, 2020. When the Grand Princess was launched it was the largest cruise ship in the world at 2600 passengers in 1998. RC Group and MSC now have ships holding 5500 passengers.

But agents are asking for registeration fee of 300$ and they are saying that they will start the documentation process after you pay the registeration fee , so what should i do now ?

You guys seem to have fun doing this Princess video, but how much did they pay you to make Princess Cruise Lines look so good? Really. No ships can be as clean as the ships you showed, nor as uncrowded. No one ever posts a video of what the ships, pools, and eating areas are REALLY like while at sea... I am not convinced by this white-washed video, but thanks for your efforts.

We where not paid by Princess or anyone else to make this video. We paid full price out of our own money for the sailing.

Princess has the smallest cabins & you have to pay extra if you want a comfortable pool lounge. Not happy when there’s no sofa in my cabin which is often the case on Princess ships. On grang class the balconies are designed so badly that everyone above looks down into your balcony. Paid extra once on Regal Princess to go to the Serenity area But when it rained the water came through the canvas roof. Disappointing.
