Amazing video, i really love this series! The amount of effort you put into editing, building the projects and buying the dominoes is outstanding. With regards to this episode, i found all of the information to be very interesting, especially the part about how all the dominoes sound. Can't wait to see the next one! :)

Price is difficult. It all depends on where you live and how many you buy. In Germany, for example, the prices for 100 if you buy really big numbers are approximately (including shipping, taxes and tariffs): Lamping: 4,60€ Don Domino 8,20€ Bulk (Air): 15€ Bulk (Boat): 13€

@@knurpsel6992 I have the numbers ready :P though the current way of "plastic shortage" might ruin this original plan, nevertheless I got the price comparison to at least the differences in price itself. Shipping is indeed the defining factor. It will always be that the producer that you live closest to will be the most affordable.

Thanks man! Now you know why this has taken months to make haha, as I planned everything and also looked for the useful things to know, but this has absolutly been worth it. I was very curious on the tech part with your brand and you certainly did not dissapoint! I truly believe Don Domino will have a great consistency in dominoes for long term, and as I get messages all the time, I think you got a lot of buyers waiting internationally hihi. Hope it all works out with the shipping! Looking forward to your future and your new colors!

The domino stacking challenge really surprised me - I am shocked that lamping scored so high and bulk and mr.domino scored so low. The corner test also really surprised me - H5DCs and don dominoes fell in the direction they were facing, as expected, but I didn’t expect bulk and domino day to fall in the messy way they did. The horizontal tests were interesting - whilst H5DCs may be risky to build with for this, they are easily the most satisfying to watch because of how slowly they fall. The others (apart from ya le zhi) all fell similarly which was interesting. I can’t believe that nearly every trick for all the brands in the risky tricks test failed! I don’t think the perfect domino has been invented yet! I think that one of the main reasons the race failed, was because each trick went straight into the next one, with no regular standing dominoes in between. I would recommend leaving at least 5 dominoes between tricks to prevent this from happening. The tech score is crazy!! I can’t believe that H5DC and Bulk came in last (not including Ya le Zhi)😂 H5DC and Domino Day sound the most relaxing, whilst lamping and Ya Le Zhi sounds the most authoritative. In my opinion don dominoes and H5DCs are the 2 best brands from the information given in this video. I always thought that bulk were the best dominoes in most categories, but this video has proven me wrong! I’m absolutely loving this series and can’t wait for part 3!! Thank you so much for making it!

Well, I think it's the old Lamping/ new Lamping thing again. My Lampings from 2019 were really bad. Sometimes the tower collapsed after just 3 or 4 dominoes. My personal record is 14 with clear Bulk dominoes. I was able to do 12 with Don Domino and H5DC.

The risky techs were partially meant to fail on some points, as I expected for example the DD stones to fail a lot - which happened - and the Lampings and don dominoes did work with the horizontal triangles but indeed the space and amount of dominoes were the problem (I was limited to 120 YaleZhi and 200 Mrdominoes/H5DC). But it doesnt differ in the preformances and I too was surprised on some results. This really shows the usability and what you as a builder want to do with a domino.

The sad thing about H5DCs is that they are mostly made for kids and not professional domino builders.

I saw the domino I used!! It is hollow and has no weight. It's not easy to fall on the carpet. And there are many techniques that are not easy to succeed but its surface is made of a non-slip material, and the grip is good.

Amazing review! The results from the single standing tower test really surprised me. I thought BulkDominoes and Don Dominoes would perform way better than Lamping Dominoes 😅 Can't wait for Part 3 😃

Actually, Bulk did best in my personal tests. I think the quality of Lampings varies a lot. Some of them are great, but my corn yellow ones from 2019 keep collapsing after just 3 dominoes.

My thoughts exactly! I had some expectations on this part (I guessed right on the heaviest domino and the most stable) but was surprised myself at some of the results. It also shows that however Lamping has decreased in quality / reputation, that they are still usable.

@@knurpsel6992 I know what you mean, indeed the quality of lamping varies, even with colors. That it why I tested brand new whites too (where I scraped the edges off) and those were standing on 10 dominoes, so almost no difference with 11 (those were old lampings). Might be a counterbalance too as slightly bendend dominoes on top each other could result in a semi balanced tower. I however expected more of Bulk and I did even some more tries than shown in the video (plus im good at this) but 7 was teh topscore I managed to get 3 times. From a comment in part 1 I will copy: With Lampings, I know what you mean. But she actually improved a bit. Something you wouldnt say but for example with the last DDT2018 and 2019, I think a total of 250-300k of new Lampings were ordered and although we of course had 2 buckets full of "Rejects / Schalmpings", they all were standing in fields and structures those years.

@@Wdomino I think I bought mine at a really bad time then. The frayed edges were so bad that some dominoes just fell on their own! A lot of them had deep dents, the color wasn't consistent at all and many were sticking together. As to Bulk: If you use clear ones you can do 10+ in a tower easily. I still need you address.

I might have had similar problem as @knurpsel having ordered my Lampings at the wrong time, but not having to manually inspect each individual domino made me switch to Bulk Dominos even though they're way more expensive if you live in Europe. About stability challenge: Have you considered trying to build tower with two vertical pieces and one horizontal on top of each other? I found that since BDs were of more even quality, I could go way higher than with Lampings, since with the latter the imperfections stacked more the higher I got and gave the edge to BDs.

That’s a cool review ! We also recommend you putting horizontal dominoes before you put the fainters so there isn’t much risk to happen :)

Part of the challenge was to have some fails. That is why I risked them to really have a difference on which brand preforms better than others. Good tip tho for using the fainters if I would ever use them again

Honestly it’s really funny to me how most of the brands on the slippery floor didn’t slide too much, but all the lines on the sturdy floor slipped all over the place xD

Nice! Also i think the densety (or however you spell that word XD) has some link to the sound. I noticed that h5 dominoes sound the "darkest" or lowest in pitch and they are the most dense. And lamping sounds the highest while it has the lowest densety

You are right! I noticed this too until after I had done the density. I always knew which would be the lightest and heaviest but it is until you set the mside by side that you notice any difference.

This was an Amazing Review with Many Surprises. I was Surprised to see Lamping doing good in The Stacking Test, And also, I think the Mr Dominoes don’t do good in the stacking test because of a logo on one side of their domino which makes a slight weight difference on both side. The Slipperiness test didn’t come up with many surprises expect that Lamping did quite Well, Because whenever U do setups, I prefer using them to make walls, more than use them as domino lines, as I am quite scared that the setups might fail xD Now I can use them as lines with no Problem. Also I think in the Test where you test the tricks, I think you could have tested one trick at a time, but I agree that it would have taken more time. But still, the tricks Section had Surprises, that all the brands failed in the second set xD The Tech Scores were Quite Surprising too, with some good brands in the bottom. Also from My Point of View, the Best Sounding are the H5 Domino Creations, but not by far. For Me, I think the Best till now are Lampings and Don Dominoes. The 2 Reviews have been so Interesting, Cant Wait for Part 3 :)

I dont think its the logo of mrdomino as DD stones have the same thing (and they are from the same producer). I can only explain it that the domineos that are made are either not cooled down enough or the top and bottom side are purposefully made to be used for mainly lines and fields, which Domino Day did. They have walls and 3D of course but those are always stable setups. I was very surprsied by this tho, I didnt even know you couldnt stack them vertically this way. The techs was indeed quite a chaotic setup but indeed otherwise the video would be too long so that is why I summarized it at the end. I didnt think this myself but indeed part 2 is liek "the surprising results" part haha

Ya Le zhi dominoes are straight-up annoying lol. My personal favorite is Bulk Dominoes, probably because they're my primary domino brand when building. I do have some lamping dominoes too, but they're basically a joke domino in my opinion. (I never use them unless I'm looking for a challenge) I'm a little embarrassed that I was super surprised when Lamping Dominoes performed so well.

Haha yeah these later years its true. I simply wanted an asian/chinese brand to review :P Adn yes, Lampings used to be simply perfect as a domino should be. I still remember that time when I first bought them and felt them in my hands. Those who got into building or buying Lamping since 2014/2015 only see how its quality has decreased over the years. You can see my vids from 2009-2013, especially when I made a 30 meter diagonal wall which now with Lampings would be a nightmare. Lamping remained, and still does, as the cheapest option for its size of dominoes, and the main seller in Europe. Of course Bulkdominoes was the main seller in the US. Both brands have now been competed with H5DCs in the US (and some other countries), and Don Domino in Europe. Personally I do love bulkdominoes too, lots of color options and never a faulty domino, especially the transparent colors, sad the shipping and taxes are costing more than the price of 1000 dominoes itself. I dont buy lots of dominoes anymore but if I do, its defintely Don Dominoes.
