Taiwanese here! Your braised pork rice looks super delicious and thank you so much for sharing our national dish with everyone. ❤ Also, I love that you used pork cubes rather than pork mince, which is the most authentic way! Chopping the pork takes a lot of time but the texture of these cubes is so much better than minced meat.
Thank you for being a rock of delicious foody comfort during this difficult time! Your videos bring me joy and lift my spirits 🥰
Yet again! You never cease to amaze me, Marion! Thank you so much! You are an inspiration and gem!
I prefer to cook the pork in the boiling water for about 5 to 10mins 1st to get rid of the scum. One extremely important tip is that you want to cook till there's as little water left as possible so not on my the flavor will be more concentrated, but also it can be preserves for longer. Dont be afraid of the pork fat/oil that where the flavor is
I have to make this dish!!!! Another great recipe, Marion! 😍
Marion, I really like the new vibe and aesthetic of the place and your inspiration to cook new stuff. We always welcome someone who is growing! Xx

So proud to be aTaiwanese, and thank you for making this dish.
I grew up eating this dish - one of my all time favs!! never fails to remind me of mums home cooking ☺️
I made it! One of the best pork recipes I have ever made. Thank you Marion. I never even cooked pork belly before and it worked like a charm. I will make this again and again
Wow! Looks so yummy. Thanks for sharing. I love it.
When I saw the little chunks of pork belly, I was like, "Oooh...yum!!" You got great color on the egg and meat at the end, too.
We have this kind of food in the Philippines! It's the best comfort food ever
Perfect break down of soul food Marion !
Just tried out this recipe tonight and it turned out great. It tastes like my moms and it is so easy to make. Thanks!
Love it 😍😍. Thanks chef's
I’m Hmong and we have a dish like this too!! We call our’s “sweet meat”. And we usually braise the hard boiled egg separately in the sweet thick soy sauce so they’ll be braised almost all the way through like tea eggs. Yummy!!

Because it's a variant of the Chinese version. In Vietnam, we also have our own version... oh, we also have Hmong people living here.
look so delicious! will be recreating this
Holy moly!!!! Made this last night and it was amazing! I couldn't find any cinnamon sticks so I used 2 tsp of powder and instead of chinese cooking wine I added 1 tbsp of mirin. Turned out amazing and husband loved it very much! Suprrising super simple.
The ultimate comfort food. Yessss!
this looks so good! definitely gonna give it a try this week
This was amazing!!! Thanks so much for this recipe
I love the way you cook.
I use exactly the same ingredients but I add chili garlic oil in the end. Sooooo good. Thanks so much for sharing.
Don't know much about Taiwanese food but this dish is calling my name😊Big thanks to you🙏 Marion🙏 and you're awesome 💖💖
OMG, I just cooked this dish!! Extremely DELICIOUS!! Thank your Marion xx
I made this for my family and they love it, it’s a new favorite. I did add some bean sprouts to the pork. Just need to cook the eggs less next time and it will be perfect
Thank U for sharing this recipe,Im going to have this for my lunch today.
Just one suggestion: The soaking liquid for reconstituting the dried mushroom should not be thrown away but can instead be part of the water used for the braising sauce. The mushroom soaking liquid is full of flavour.
My favourite Taiwanese food that I ate almost everyday for a month when I was working there recently! Putting this on my menu for this coming week!
One of Taiwan’s top signature dishes for sure, every household has their own version, I’ve always use rock sugar, will try your ver. next
We west Indians love our pork too😋 Tried your cheesy bolognese today. It was great. Such different flavors from the Italian way but scrumptious still. Loved it! Thank you for your recipes 💜
Luroufan is really nice! Makes me miss those years in Taiwan..almost time for bachang, too.
This looks really nice and a must try! Thank u for sharing this recipe! More power to your channel, Godbless and stay safe!

This reminds me so much of our Pork Humba in the Philippines 🇵🇭 but we use big chunks of pork meat instead and put a little bit of vinegar 🤗 I will definitely try this recipe! ❤️ Love from PH

This dish is actually closer to Pata Tim in the Philippines. Except we use pork hocs instead of pork belly.
I'm not Taiwanese, but I can relate to this flavor profile so much! We have quite the same dish called Humba and ugh ❤
Definitely delicious 💕
I have to try this!!
Awww this makes me homesick really. Miss one of mum's signature dishes.
Wowww!!! So Yummy!!!
Looks yummy!
Oh one of my favs. Btw do u need to cover the pan when simmering for 1 hour?
I'm used to a version with more liquid in the stew. And at the end you add in crispy fried shallots, that takes it to the next level. And gives it the "古早味", or "old times flavor".
I have to try this
Thank you for this recipe. Also, you look lovely. Will try this out.
Any Taiwanese food is on the top of the list!! We have to admit we didn't know about this one yet, so thank you!!
Try it with minced pork. That is one of the most iconic dishes in Taiwan. I might try to make it on my channel in the nest future. Love your recipes ♥️

Thanks I can't get pork belly right now but I can get pork shoulder / butt roast & grind it myself.
Marion: You are my Jackie Evancho of my kitchen. You are pure perfection.
This is delicious! I made if a few times and it's always been a hit! It somehow reminds me of my grand-mother's Vietnamese caramelised pork (which is now my signature dish LOL).

Yes the dark sweet soy sauce adds the caramelized goodness in this dish. Don't forget lots of fried shallots too, let them cook until they melt into the gravy.
Great job!! Always Love yr recept. Thanks for sharing marion. Big Like 🛎👍👍❤
I love pork! Yum 😋
Amazing video, really like that.
I don’t eat pork but i am just watching it for you Marion btw you look absolutely gorgeous 😍😍😍.
Yum that looks soo good 😍😋 Did you say “dyne” (and couch)?? That’s the same word in Danish 🤓
Oh! So! Beautiful!
Marion, we had a baby at the same time! I’m not nearly as put together as you right now though 😂😂 thank you for your easy recipes!!
Making this next :)
卤肉饭, Taiwanese national dish, the poor man's comfort food of the generation, looking delicious as usual!
this is good my kids love it, we called it thom khem (braised pork and eggs, caramelized pork stew )
Oh sooooooo yummy looking
Yummy 😋
This looks absolutely delicious.😋 Since you said this should be cooking for approximately an hour, do you think it's possible to do this recipe in a slow cooker? I feel more under control haha
Here in the Philippines we have same recipe like that. But we called it Pork Adobo.😍❤
Wow! Another recipe to try. I did the soy and ginger steamed fished and has more views than I expected. 😍
Love ittttt
Lovely~
Hi Marion!! If I don’t have the star anise and cinnamon at home, can I use Chinese five spice powder?? Thanks!
Girl, I'm a get fat eating your food and I'm going to love every minute of it. 💞
I just replicated this (just now ) never thought mushroom will do well in this dish. But you made it possible, you’re amazing marion !
Looks yummy! We haven't seen Noi in a while. Where is mamma Noi?
Add that meat into a bao with some plum sauce. Omg. My mouth is watering.
I’ll be trying this using chicken instead. Hope it works well and tastes delicious
Hi marion, love your chanel! Try to use bango brand kecap manis instead, that one is whole new level. My family wont use other brand. My singaporean husband fall in love with bango brand too 😁
Kecap Manis 🥰😍 Indonesian fusion is top notch!
watching this video at 1:15a.m. : *immediately whale song erupts from my stomach* Me: this is not the time to look for food. 😢 But I always get hungry whenever I watch Marion's videos

Hey Marion, 😊🥰 please try to cook Pork Menudo ( a Filipino pork stew dish) It's one of the best "putahe" or dish and comfort food here in the Philippines. And it's one of my favourite. 🥰💞
Hi, can you add ingredients on the description to facilitate us? Tx.
I made this yesterday and I cried a little. It. Was. So. Good.
Omg i need to try this. Btw i feel like 1 tbsp of that pork should be the right serving size. its so fatty and sugary. Best side dish is a big plate full of greens.
Everything you cook looks divine. I made your 4 ingredient Pad Thai tonight and it was a hit! No leftovers 🤷♀️🍷😋

I've tried a dish very similar to this one, but with shredded pork and chili oil instead. Would chili fit into this dish?
Comedy, love, horror, or even street gangster Taiwanese films you can literally see this dish.
That was the best pasta ever
I was literally dreaming about this dish last night. The stars are aligned and I must bang one out of the kitchen ASAP.
Can you show us how to prepare and cook the grill ox tongue?
Hey everyone! Do you think its possible to use this in the bbq pork buns as a filling as well?!
Going for a Nigella Lawson vibe with the music? lol XD
