The UFO Movie THEY Don’t Want You to See | Brian Dunning

In an age when misinformation, alternative facts, and conspiracy theories have become mainstream, UFOs have become one of the most talked-about phenomena throughout popular culture. What is in our skies? What do we know, and how do we know it? And most importantly: Are we being visited?
Brian Dunning, the producer of the feature-length indie documentary film The UFO Movie THEY Don’t Want You to See, speaks with Kenny Biddle about the science behind today’s UFO/UAP phenomenon, why Dunning made the film-which is available to stream now on Amazon Prime and other online platforms-as well as the reactions to it so far from the UFO community. What answers does science have to give us? Dunning and his film will tell us.

Speaking of Carl Sagan, I served on the Cornell Cinema Advisory Board at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York from 1997 to 1998. I never met Dr. Sagan when he was alive, but the Cornell Cinema Advisory Board premiered the 1997 film, "Contact," based on a Carl Sagan novel. . . .

That's why we have a party that destroyed our previously world's #1 public school system starting in the 80's, and is now mass banning books, while also attempting to force their unfounded beliefs on everyone else.

I really like what you are doing for educators! I have more than 25 years of experience teaching on all levels of instruction. Moreover, I was an adjunct professor at Penn State University, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, New Mexico State University, and South Texas College. During 2021, I began working with the Research Team for The Galileo Project at Harvard University. . .

This makes me want to watch it again! It brings to mind the quote by Carl Sagan about how he would rather grasp the universe as it really is than persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring. There is one point that many alien enthusiasts make, though, that I think is valid, and that's that alien civilizations could have technologies we haven't even dreamed of yet. If you explained, say, smart phones to someone 50 years ago, they'd say "oh, a computer that fits in your pocket! That's great!" But to explain it to someone 1000 years ago, that's a very different story. This is, of course, not an argument for aliens. "Could be" isn't evidence.

The quality of the comments Brian received reminds me of one of the biggest issues they had with prospective entrants for James Randi's challenge for paranormal abilities. The biggest obstacle (which most entrants couldn't clear) was to clearly state the supposed ability, how they use it, and what limits it has. Many of the entries were incoherent and failed to describe what they were claiming.

Will definitely have to watch the film. But, Brian if you are reading this I have at least one book recommendation for you: Passport to Magonia by Jacques Vallee. And either of Diane Walsh Pasulka's books on the subject. She studied religion and agrees with you that this is some new form of religion, just that most people are unaware of it yet.

I'd be willing to bet the overwhelming majority of those negative comments came from people who are also falling for fascism. It's the same style I've seen everyday for years now in the comments sections of social political channels. Programming via propaganda is real. Both are results of our public school system being destroyed. Previous to the 80's it was #1 in the world. That's why the level of linguistic literacy is so low. Arts and literature; always first to go.

I've long since come to the conclusion that many of the way-out there KZread comments are from people who aren't well mentally. I used to respond to such comments on the science videos, but have learned it's best just to leave them alone -- for their sanity and your own!

Suppose you are a believer in the alien religion, how does this mesh with flat earth stuff? Can you be both, or is that stretching stupidity too far? Obviously a Maga-hat might cover that problem..

As strange as it sounds there are flat-earthers who also believe that UFOs are extraterrestrial visitors. They generally seem to be a small faction within the flat-earth community who thinks that the Earth is an "island" of habitablity in an infinite plane covered with other such "islands" which they believe is where the extraterrestrials come from.

@@George89999 There is nothing strange about uneducated people believing anything. As we know, there are numerous victims, such as people trapped in religious superstition, encouraged to suspend reality in place of myth. Some superstitions are crazy, and you can trust me because I got inside information from a crystal ball. Well, it was a dirty fish bowl on my Granny's table. I tipped it upside down and made it glow with a flashlight. The ambience was enhanced by putting Pop's old AM radio slightly off-station, as it provided the right amount of noise. It worked, as I convinced a bunch of old farts to part with their money in exchange for telling them they had a lot of years left in them. Naturally, they all died within the next couple of weeks because I mixed all their tablets around.

Most young earth creationists will claim that aliens (if they're real) are demons and evil spirits sent by Satan to deceive us. Presumably flat earthers would most likely make similar claims since they often believe the "round Earth conspiracy" was concocted to turn people away from God.
