His prime was 15 seconds before getting KO'd by Chandler. Up until his KO, that was the best he ever fought imo. Good offense, good defense, and all against his highest class opponent imo.

What happened to Ferguson is similar to what happened to Roy Jones Jr. When Tony Ferguson was supposed to fight Justin Gaethje and didn't happened the first time. Tony stayed on the weight cut boasting how he can do it. He stayed in the weight cut for about a month or so then fought Gaethje. That what broke him physically accompanied with his age.

if tony still wants to fight then tony needs to change his fighting style since he is not in prime anymore. his current fighting style was ineffective for his age and mentality. looking at his struggles after 5 consecutive defeats it looks like he didn't intend to become a champion but more like looking for one victory before retiring but the defeat he got. There are other possibilities for Tony's career continuation by moving the organization or it is better to choose retired.

I can't imagine Tony retiring. I think he should get back on his feet. Retiring would only make things worse. The UFC should help him with that, put young talent or lower caliber fighters to face him, just to give the fans a good show. You guys need to understand that retirement won't help anything. This kind of fella likes to battle.

I agree buddy, I just think in terms of the amount of damage he has taken so far, it’s not great for his own health to carry on. But clearly he wants to and we can’t control that so yeah I agree, let him test upcoming talent, if he stays. He is a very entertaining fighter and will prop up any new talent. Bitter sweet.

  • @teddyjackson1902

Tony is going to be an MMA tragedy. I’m saddened and shocked that the UFC has not assisted him and ushered him into retirement. You say it hasn’t threatened his family? The accounts are the stuff of horror movies. His wife woke up in the middle of the night to Tony standing over her in a dark room accusing her in all seriousness of being a witch. Another time he started talking to her like she was a complete stranger, someone he’d never met before. Then you have the “moon flood” where he’s convinced the cataclysm is coming and has his family fleeing into the desert in the middle of the night. Yeah, that’s horrifying, and it’s made doubly so when your spouse is a trained killer.
