The Tsar of all the Russias: A Tribute to Tsar Nicholas II

Ойын-сауық

:-) I thought it was about time I made a tribute to my favorite Romanov! I am in the minority of the Romanov & OTMA fans, but Nicky is my favorite of NAOTMAA. This video shows him at all ages from an infant in the spring of 1868 to the last days of his life in Yekaterinburg in 1918. (May 18, 1868 - July 17, 1918.) The video also shows him with all the important people in his life: Alix, Minnie, Olga Nikolaievna, Nikolasha, Olga Alexandrevna, Xenia, Misha, Georgiy, Tatiana, Maria, Anastasia, Alexei, Kaiser Wilhelm II, Prince George of Greece, Dmitri Pavlovich, King George V, Nicky's cat, his collies, etc. There are photos from his trip abroad as Tsarevich as well. Also included are shots from his vacations on the Standart and Polar Star to Finalnd, the Skerries, Livadia, England, etc. While I don't personally condone his policies as Tsar, I admire his gentle personality as Tsar and his unyielding love for Alix and his children.
Some of the colorized photos may be misleading...when he as a toddler, his hair was flame red (check it out on the Alexander Place Forum). When he was older it was a medium brown flecked with red and blonde and his eyes, as Alexander Kerensky recalled, "were of the most brilliant blue," and were inherited by his daughter, Marie Nikolaievna.
Music: "Finale" from "Cinderella Man" and "Finale" from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Photos: Beinkecke Romanov Albums, Alexander Time Machine & Forum, Livadia.org, FrozenTears.org, "The Lost World of the Tsar" by Peter Kurth, AlyoshaSunbeam, DeviantArt.com (no, I didn't colorize them myself).

I don't care what anyone has to say about him being a weak and unprepared Tsar, or that he lacked this and that; Bottom line was he was an outstanding father to his daughters, devoting so much energy, love and affection at a time when there was utter chaos in Russia as his country literally betrayed him. By then way, his cowardly cousin in England, you can count him as a Brutus as well. I'll bet if King George the V was in the same situation as Nicholas, the Tsar would've wasted no time in getting him and his family to safety...

Nicholas II was a simple man who by God’s will inherited such a difficult job. Good father and husband. Religious person. His destiny was sealed from the start regardless what he did or did not do. And they left us an interesting historic legacy.

He was a good Man. He wasn't ready for such as duty. That doesn't make him a bad person. He enjoy the simple things of life which are the best. He had a free soul. He tried to do his best. Don't forget he was a human being carrying a terrible and heavy weight of ruling a country in time of social changing and war. Please don't judge him. He and his family didn't deserve to pay with their lives the mistakes of bad decisions. They are happy in heaven now.🙏

the tsar was not an evil man, he loved God and his family dearly, he just didn't have the skills to rule Russia. Also his father didn't educate him in ruling because he thought he was going to rule for longer and that Nicholas was immature. In the last days he didn't want those who supported him to get revenge, he forgave everyone and accepted his fate. RIP Nicholas II and family

Tributo=homenaje.
