Empress Maria Feodorovna's reburial in St. Petersburg in 2006
Maria Feodorovna ( 26 November 1847 - 13 October 1928), known before her marriage as Princess Dagmar of Denmark, was Empress of Russia from 1881 to 1894 as the wife of Emperor Alexander III. She was the fourth child and second daughter of Christian IX of Denmark and Louise of Hesse-Kassel. Maria’s eldest son, Nicholas, was the last Emperor of Russia. On October 13, 1928, at Hvidøre near Copenhagen, in a house she had once shared with her sister Queen Alexandra, Dowager Empress Maria died at the age of 80. The Empress was initially interred in the crypt of the Christian IX Chapel at Roskilde Cathedral, the traditional burial place of the Danish Royal Family, but had expressed a wish to be laid next to her late husband, Tsar Alexander III. That wish was finally fulfilled in 2006, when, after an agreement between Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and President Putin of Russia, the body of the late Empress Maria Feodorovna was interred next to her husband in the Saint Peter and Paul Cathedral in Saint Petersburg in a series of ceremonies befitting her rank.

What an amazing video It is wonderful that her body will be returned to the empire that she ruled with her husband, Alexander III.. But I do not know what her reaction was when she learned of the killing of her son and his family at the hands of the brutal, criminal Bolshevik thieves. She did not believe that her son and his family had been killed because there was no evidence of their death or survival. She remained clinging to hope. Stay blessed 🙏

You know I'm not sure she should've or would have wanted to be reburied in Russia after what happened to her two son's and her 5 grandchildren and other member's of the Imperial Family...not to mention friend's who also would have been murdered by the Bolsheviks 😢

In the text in the left upper corner on the video there is a mistake in her name, she was Maria Fyodorovna, not Fyodorova. Fyodorovna is a patronimic name, like a father's name.

Well she was quite in love with her husbsnd Tsar Alexander III.Now they are once more reunited.R.I.P.Maybe one day Russia will be a Constitutional Monarchy not ruled anymore by personal dictators like Putin.Not to mention mass murderer Joseph Stalin.
