Incredibly proud of Derek for sharing his struggles with the world. It’s one thing to be the champion because of your body but another thing to really own your impact as a champion and be vulnerable . Huge fan of Derek and long time follower and fan of everything Hany has done. This was an awesome podcast. Thank you guys!

You know why I like Derek other than his great physique? He's a follower of Jesus unapologetically in a time where it's looked down upon. Keep shouting from the rooftops Derek! 😎😎😎 We're with you 100% bro! Thanks for sharing your struggles and helping others.

Thank you so much for this podcast!!! I also want to say thanks for opening up about your life with us, and probably relating to lots of people who are not only in the gym, but just life. Hany you have a lot of wisdom to know when an athlete is doing something they shouldn't be doing. You are a great coach.

I've quit smoking with vaping 11yrs ago and cardio improved drastically. Also cut nicotine in half recently. Never did or plan on vaping thc but hear bad stuff on that end. Most deaths from vaping linked to Homebrew thc liquids.

3 years ago i watched an interview of Derek and honestly my first thought was a fake douche which first impressions are important but they don’t determine the legacy. This is the first time hearing Derek speak and it felt genuine and soulful. I would never judge a person by them using nicotine or thc we all know it’s not conducive to achieving a awesome inside and out but it takes humility to be yourself these days exspecially with compare committy always watching. Attaboy to you both excited to see more in the future. Congratulations 💪🏽🙏

Man when i competed, i couldnt stop smoking weed and vaping. The weed to keep me in a zen mode and not realize I’m doing the same shit day in day out. It would keep me focused and just keep moving forward, kinda like cruise control. The vaping just calms the anxiety from being wired on gear.

Derek looked amazing, and Hadi deserved the victory in the open class IMHO. He had the most proportionate, balanced, symmetrical, aesthetic, peeled physique. I had Hadi, Brandon, and Nick as the Top 3. Regardless, wonderful show. And thank you as always for the podcast, the training vids, and the great Evogen products!

I know..... Another one 😒 .....after last year's Olympia everybody remember the interviews shortly after with Derek? And him speaking on the changes of his life. Religion , mindset and relationships. Also falling into the hype. A lot of KZread fitness personalities wrote it off and said it was an act and things like this. I think I've even heard a few say he was bipolar. But yet here we are after he won the title and various interviews. Very change he spoke of, is holding steady. So he wasn't for BS... If you think about it , it's kind of depressing. That the larger portion of the industry being negative. Implying ( hoping/expecting) he didn't or couldn't change the way he portrayed. Goes to show you how messed up a lot of people are in this industry. To publicly came out and condemned somebody for wanting to improve their overall quality of life. Then not to believe them. You got to ask what kind of person is that for one. But what's the most depressing thing of it all. This messaging and negative content became normalcy for a reason. this industry and Las Vegas have something exponentially in common. A LOT OF PEOPLE IN THE INDUSTRY, MALE-FEMALE. LOOKING FOR THOSE CLICKS JUMPING ON THE TRENDS.WHETHER THAT'S THE DEPRESSION, ANXIETY, RELIGION, POLITICAL. then and social media when the environment shifts they shift so they're very inconsistent and well you know the rest. "A lot of FAKE TITS and real ASS HOLES
