Calling lab made diamonds "synthetic diamonds" makes about as much sense as calling the ice in your freezer "synthetic ice" because it didn't come from a glacier.

Just signed up for an account in Brian’s website as it’s refreshing to hear a sane wise objective mind speaking on Actual Diamonds that can be found in nature. People that are shopping for the look just don’t get it, you can get a disco ball at home to have something shiny, diamonds are diamonds 💎

People that are as petty as thinking they are better than everyone else because their diamond came with a "certificate" saying it came from the ground and trying to justify the 5× cost vs someone who got a much bigger and likely better diamond in most/all of the "C's" categories, are likely the same people that fell for the debeers "diamonds are (inherently worthless) forever" campaign. Probably also fell for the stupid "a man should pay 'x' number of months salary for engagement/wedding rings."

If you get one with an excellent cut, color and polish, don’t spend the money on the natural thing. Not worth it. You won’t get anything when you try to sell your natural diamonds, so don’t worry about resale value.

The trotting out of the old SA and De Beers BS about flawless diamonds, blah, blah. Nobody who buys a diamond ring as an engagement does so with the idea that it will one day be sold. I fell for that BS and both my wife and I are sorry that we didn't buy a bigger less perfect stone. I now have a wonderful 1ct diamond that is worth a lot but useless. Spend less buy a big sparkle lab diamond.

As the technology improves the cost of producing these in the lab will drop rapidly ( which is already occurring, the lab grown cost has dropped more than 50% this year and will continue to drop) There will be no controll over supply and like any mass produced article the bottom drops out as supply exceeds demand and competition for market share sets in . We have recently seen a move by retailers cutting prices on lab grown, in the end they will be worthless but there will still be a demand for real and natural and they will retain value . We have seen this with Corundum Sapphire and Rubies, Beryl Emeralds as well as simulants like CZ There is a demand for Natural Rubies Sapphires and Emeralds and they retain their value and continue to appreciate the lab grown cost a few cents per carat. The same will happen with lab grown diamonds ! Markets repeat themselves

They are chemically diamond but who knows what will happen to them in 50- 100 years, we haven't seen it yet! Remember the more the technology increases the the more abundant they will become , supply will push down the price, where they will be worth nothing. If you want to retain value then buy real and rare!

The only difference between manmade diamonds and natural diamonds, and the one and onl;y difference is that one is made over hundreds of millions of years, and manmade diamonds are made in a matter of weeks. The term "synthetic diamond" is really a misnomer. Both are made from carbon, heat, and pressure; the only true difference being the source of the hat and pressure. Preference is a matter of perspective, and nothing more.

Perhaps not in the near future, but in the years to come, first of all, why do you buy an expensive diamond? - because it is an investement, and the increasing future value. The problem i understand with these labgrown diamonds will be, they will loose value over time, why? because there will be coming out more and more massproduced labgrown diamonds, and 10-15y from now they vill loose value, and you will loose money if selling it, the natural grown diamonds are more rare and will therefore keep their value
