There are 2 Types of Flexibility Exercises that a trumpet player can practice
1. The lip slur
2. The Lip Bend
Both of these focus on the 3rd Core Level of Trumpet Playing which is Tongue Level.
If you didn't know, there are 7 Core Parts of Trumpet Playing as taught by Claude Gordon:

Today I will share with you 3 Levels of flexibility exercises that you can practice.
- Beginner Lip Slurs
- Intermediate Lip slurs
- Advanced Lip Slurs
Then I will teach you how to do a lip bend for added flexibility on trumpet.
What is the tongue used for as it is related to flexibility?
- Playing the extreme high register
- Playing the extreme low register
- Note bending
- Vibrato
- Fine-tuning
- Slurs
- Trills
None of these things can take place without involvement from the tongue.
For this reason, it is important that we learn to master our tongue as it is clearly a crucial part of playing the trumpet.

Oh wow! I know & have my fingering & notes memorized in sequence from F# & on up; but I never knew or realized what the seven specific positions were regarding the valves themselves!! Thanks Chris.

I understand the technique of "Ah" and "Ee", especially going from middle C to G or G to C. I was taught that all notes from the second C on up your tongue position is in "Ee", if so how to I manage that when slurring from the second C to E, E to G or G to C? What changes am I making with my tongue if any?
What is the difference between slurs and legato?
Hello Chris... Great exercises!! I see in the 1st Position, all valves are down. What valves are down in sequence, in each of the other 6 positions? Thanks!!

I sometimes do like " I , A , O " I for high, A for middle O is for low.

@@tiqi_r4793 watch a video on the channel called, how to buzz a trumpet mouthpiece. There 2-3 videos of the same type. No need to buzz. Just form your face muscles in the same way described.
