So cool. I had always assumed that this was filmed up near Daytona for some reason. That looks like a really nice quiet area. Also has that Sanibel and Captiva Island look in a lot of ways.

Such a classic movie. Criminally under-rated! Great video and explanation.

I live a few miles away from the bridge and know these locations well... it's always neat to drive through Seaside and the adjoining areas.

Cool video, I live in Panama city close to where the deadend bridge scene was filmed...you were at the wrong bridge, it was filmed at Deerpoint bridge. You were at the Bailey bridge. You could see Deerpoint bridge from where you were though.

actually, deerpoint dam is shown in the movie and the locations video as the bridge crossed when Truman is trying to escape. the bridge where the golfing is taking place is/was the bridge joining Bristol, fl and Blountstown, fl. over the appalachicola river...since reworked and a second, adjacent bridge added. this bridge was known in the area as crazily narrow. no sidewalks meant the concrete railings were mere inches from your car door. the sidewalks shown in your shots of bailey bridge do not exist in the movie. still, thanks for spreading some video of lynn haven!

i remember doing a universal backlot tour in 2011 and our guide showed us the great outdoors lodge which was on side of lake near blue screen used for water scenes and end of trueman show,alsp tlc waterfalls video.Great vid, id love you to do american history x as lots of places from other movies,also did you no the house from marvels wandavision is the griswalds xmas vacation home and the neighbours house is seargent murtuaghs -all lethal weapon movies?and over road facing house from gremlins and american beauty

Why wouldn't the show runners just tell Truman that the only world that existed was where he lived? It doesn't make sense that they would show him all those places he could travel to and give him access to a car?? Like what did they think would happen?

Love the truman show but that movie was also the end of seaside as a hidden gem. It was already getting pretty well known and probably wouldve become what it is anyway but that definitely hastened the process. I remember growing up when 30a was sparsely developed and seaside seemed like a far flung oasis. Now it's just nonstop development with too many ppl!
