Well, they actually ended the series a few shows later. He was in a few of those shows later, talking on the phone with the family. He was still helping George set up.

Actually, if he did come back, THEY wouldn't have been there as they moved shortly after this and the show ended.

i like growing pains, but in all honesty, if i had to pick a favorite family sitcom from that time, "family ties" would definitely come in first. i would've loved to have seen luke move in with the keatons but unfortunately, "family ties" ended in '89. too bad... leo and michael j. fox would've made a great team.

I watched this show religiously as a child. Who knew it would be such a launch pad.

Actually he appeared in short scenes in the two episodes that followed this one portraying him on the phone at his father's truck stop, but he did not appear in the series finale.

Just get a torrent file. Its not dead yet and have all 7 seasons

I was really pissed off when Disney channel stopped airing reruns of the show and ABC family aired the sitcom. I keep hoping one day Hallmark channel (a.k.a. Odyessy Channel) or WGN america will air this show. I am sure many fans out there agree on that, right?

They shouldn't have had his dad come back he already told him once he wasn't going with him before mike Thea one who found him and took him in he was like a step father in a way and mike taking care of him made him mature and mike wasn't the slacker trouble maker he once was I also think that's why mike liked him he reminded him of himself from the the first 4 seasons of the show since he said he was coming back he should have been in the finale and the two reunion movies cause we never saw him return he could have met up with somewhere when they moved and lived with them till he graduated then moved out but we don't know they need to make one more reunion with decaprio back it won't be the same with Alan thicke gone Rest In Peace but that's how they could do it Luke could here bout Jason dying and come back and him and Ben go in to business together or something
