I think the big thing troubling fans with the trailer is the comedic writing overtaking the serious moments, but if fans saw a more serious interaction between Optimus and Megatron at Cinemacon, that makes me hopeful for the future of this franchise. Also, the comparison of animation style to the Bionicle movies was SPOT ON.

I went too look at the leaks form the test screening. this film actually has a lot of serious moments. IT GETS VERY DARK. There are a lot of serious moments as the film goes on ( especially in the end of it.)

Even if it does have a much more kid tone to it you gotta remember that Transformers is a kid show, it started out as a Saturday morning cartoon to sell toys to kids, now that doesn’t mean they can’t have serious moments in transformers but that also means they can have a more lighthearted, comedic tone. I think what we need to realize is that the war started AFTER Orion became a Prime. These characters are not hardened. they are just workers trying to find there way and make the best of what they got. is the trailer leaning too hard into the humor? kind of but if this becomes a trilogy, you know by the third movie all of these characters will have a familiar humor like how they do int TF Prime. where its a bit cold and honest rather than humoristic.

So ppl don't know that the war was millions of years long and that autobots where really the imperialist and was basically colonizers of the Deceptacons. Megatron is basically is Spartacus I would love to see the war on cybertron play out but more of an adult version the consequences the pain and all that ... I am really excited to immerse myself in this world of Transformers One. I like the tone, which reminds me of Transformers G1. The action would be top-notch. I can see the potential of it, how the gang would all be childhood-friendly and then later on can go dark, which sets off the trilogy. I have not been this excited about Transformers for years.

It looks like a straight to streaming tv series. It’ll flop, besides some of the language it’s definitely for preteens and younger. The only positive I’ll give the movie is bumblebee actually talks instead of using the dumb radio gimmick.

Growing up in the 80s and being a fan of the OG cartoon (and toys) I enjoyed this trailer.. it’s different and it’s new.. I’m all for a new generation discovering something I grew up loving!!

People keep whining about the tone, but its probably gonna be similar in tone to SpiderVerse. Lots of jokes but the tone gets serious when necessary. Also this animation is gorgeous, perfect for transformers, i don't know what people are talking about

The directors said that they deliberately said they put most of the jokes in that trailer to appeal more to audiences. The movie as a whole is quite serious based off of a clip they showed at cinemacon and what the director said

As a fan of Transformers, this is looking really good for me. I did like the little references thrown in here like D-16's Head is colored very similarly to old 80's comics version of Megatron, I liked when they were transforming in trailer like halfway into vehicle modes like you can do with the toys. I don’t mind the tone here, but I think once we see Orion and D-16 starting to butt heads in their ideology, that's when we're going to get the more dark and serious moments. Overall, just hyped to have a good old time watching this in theaters.

That level of humor is only really going to connect with very young audiences. It's rated PG-13 isn't it? Not just this movie but other properties these days too seem to think anyone under thirteen is at that level of humor

As someone who has never been interested in transformers this movie looks incredible to me idk what it is it just looks so good and it also looks really funny and it doesn’t feel childish to me

I feel like the tone of this trailer is to get people interested - mainly the younger audience. From what I’ve heard, this movie is meant to be for everyone and I feel like we’ll see the film being darker than anticipated. Also regarding continuity - I believe it was mentioned that this is its own continuity and it’s not connected to the films. Comodin Cam recently made a video about it.

I'm down for it. I was hoping for a slightly more stylized animation style like Mutant Mayhem, but this works well enough for me. It seems about in line with the 80s cartoon with a bit more seriousness that I can get behind

The Transformers series from the 80's also had an episode of them in their younger days. I see some similarities in this film.

As a Transformers fan I like it! We've gotten plenty of very serious, war-like Transformers stuff and this one looks like it might bring in younger generations. Seems to have a lot of good action as well which I'm all about! I think it's a good way to go and I'm excited for it!

As a long-time Transformers fan, I'm really excited for Transformers One. The animation looks beautiful, the voice acting is pretty good, and the Easter eggs are spot-on. Also, the Transformers franchise has always been comedic since the G1 cartoon, so they shouldn't even complain about the movie's tone in the first place.

The main villains are probably going to be the Quintessons who we saw in the trailers... They even have the nemisis space ship which the decepticons use later on

As someone that's seen a lot of iterations of the IP from the 200s up to as recent as the Netflix War For Cybertron trilogy, I'm not too surprised that this ended up being exactly like what was described in that Cinemacon description. I was caught a bit off guard with the humor but the animation itself was at least better than what I expected it to look. All in all, I'm intrigued to see how the rest of it will go here. It might end up being better than what was seen here.

This will open transformers to more casual people and I like that. This could be a good thing. Either way, this looks fun, imma enjoy this

I grew up watching the orginals on tv when i could, but more of beast wars, i am a 90s kid. The movies are just silly popcorn fun movies. I did like Bumblebee and Rise of Beasr Wars. My favorite was the Netflix War for Cybertron. Im all for this movie and can't wait to see it.

Honestly, I feel like it’s a more kid-friendly entry into the franchise. It’ll reach a wider audience because of that and probably will make more sales, both off the movie and the merchandise they make to go with it. Who knows if it’ll actually be that good anyway.

I was absolutely blown away, and it surpassed my expectations. I grew up watching Saturday morning cartoons and the original 87 series. Live-action has been lackluster at best, so why not make an animated movie? I did personally feel weird when i saw the Trailer. But i said over and over. I'm willing to give the movie a shot. Amd hearing that yhe setious moments will be in the movie could work. Just gave me a tonal whiplash as in my own book I'm writing I'm at the end of the whole series. Finishd it and now just need to go to Hasbro about getting the rights.
