Yes I did do that
I think toughest athlete in the world so far is greko roman wrestler Alexander Karelin. Noone dominated the sport as long as he did. Also legendary armwrestler John Brzenk, who was number one for around 20 years
Great stuff. Look forward to more
I haven’t even watched it and I already know it’s going to be goated
phenomenal video brother. we were robbed of that Botev vs Zacharevich match up at Seoul :(

True but Yuri would have destroyed Botev by 20+ kg in the shape he was in.

If they had faced off, they would have become the 1 and 2 greatest of all time. Which one was which would have been decided that day.
Thank you so very much for this fascinating video.
Great video👏👏 Love the line, "to encourage gravity to take a vacation."
Great work. Keep then coming 👌

Zakharevich was the lifter that made me serious about weightlifting, I had watched a few worlds and Olympics and thought it was cool, but nothing blew my mind like when I saw the 88 Olympics 110s on KZread

@@vintagelifts thanks
Blagoevs 195.5 was done in 1983.. the video here is 195kg from world cup 1982
Why is the first lift censored ??? Anyway thank you for sharing this video. Sometimes people forget about some lifters because in that era there were so many good competitors.
Nice dude!
Phenomenon specimen!!
460 pounds. Thats like grabbing a dozen 40 lb. bags of water softening salt. Many people would struggle to pick up one bag in each hand.
Botev did the 250 kg in 1988 ?maybe march.. definitely not 1987
Not only did Yuri "feel more tired than usual", his vision was impaired, his urine was black, and he was constantly dizzy, because of the huge doses of st@roids his coaches were giving him. Poor guy, what he went through was insane, especially while still so young.

I'm happy this is the first public video you did. Zacharevich really is that amazing. He did an all-time total on his 4th lift.

I meant it more as up to the injury he held records in 2 different weight classes - the 197.5 was actually the first attempt at a 110kg world record
Nice, God Bless, We hope all good Athletes stay with their people, not to be forced to bow to Dictators, like in Iran, or Russia or other Dictatorship countries, people should realize in Europe, or U.S. you can Compete even if you are against the Government but in other Countries they don't let you join the Olympic or World Championship Events, As an Iranian American who is Against Terrorist Ayatollah's in Iran we Solute all good Athletes , God Bless All Good people and Freedom lovers of the World---- # Mahsa Amini
