This makes me hurt for you. I know how this feels, I’m an extremely hopeless romantic and I very much have experienced love at first sight time and time again, only to be let down. I so badly want to believe in things like fate and soulmates but I’m learning to start pacing myself more, cuz it sets you up for being abused and taken advantage of. I still fall hard and fast, but I’ve learned to start trying to slow down or asking the people I care about for their honest opinion on things to try and listen to logic, as much as I’d like follow my heart. 😅 It sounds like maybe he was lovebombing you. Which can mean either A) he purposefully sought to manipulate you, or B) he also is mentally ill and suffers from extreme impulsive emotions. People like that can meet someone and feel like they’re their soulmates, but it falls apart just as easily as it started. That type of love is less of a love and more of an infatuation. Love is a bond that is cultivated and nurtured, and not something you feel for someone you just meet, even if it really really feels like it. You use that initial burst of infatuation to get to know them, and find reasons to fall in love. Or you should, rather. As someone who this has also happened quite a bit to, I really feel for you and I’m so sorry you had to go through this. I’m such a hopeless romantic and I’m so idealistic, i want to believe in those perfect love stories just like one you experienced in the beginning. Even in listening I got so wrapped up in it, wishing the same would happen to me one day. :”) But I’m so happy to see you back bro, fr. I love your realness and your energy, and I’ve been a fan for years. Keep your head up bb!!
