I honestly kind of hope it's not. I liked it as a small contained world, but if that's the whole game then it might be a bit overwhelming and even if they break it up into level chunks/worlds then I'd worry it would end up feeling too much like Yooka Laylee. I guess Bowser Fury is kind of a "Yooka Laylee level done right" but idk, I worry about a full game like that being overwhelming is all

I’ll never forget when the Switch was first revealed, with the only confirmed game being Breath of the Wild, and all those other games that became Super Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2, Skyrim, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, all were teased but not confirmed, just like that Zelda tech demo for the Wii U that never became anything(unless you count Hyrule Warriors), and this had me on the edge of my seat, whether those games would be real or not, but when they all got confirmed, I was on the countdown to the days to wait before Super Mario Odyssey could be bought.

2025 is the year of Mario it's 40th anniversary too since Super Mario Bros on NES, hopefully a 3D Open World with this new upcoming Nintendo system. So who knows what Nintendo would do.

At first I didn’t think that the June reveal was possible but remember most big games get announced nine months or more before release date like Smash Bros Ultimate, Mario Kart back in 2013, and of course Super Mario Odyssey.

What I want is an open world like Bowser's Fury, with a decent amount of areas like Super Mario Galaxy, but without the "do this again but there's a timer" (Speedy Comet) or "do this again, but you only have one health" (Daredevil Comet), etc, instead, where each 'mission' is actually unique, like Super Mario 64. Also, when you complete a mission and collect whatever the collectible is, you should be given the option to get kicked out of the stage, or not. And of course, something that had not been done since Super Mario Sunshine, until Bowser's Fury... A proper hub world. Not a Comet Observatory. Not a Spaceship Mario. A hub world which is itself like a stage. The hub world is where the stages are located obviously, but the hub world itself also has missions (like how you can get Shines in Delfino Plaza as well as in the individual stages).

Nin10doland, can we get a video from you sometime showing DK just as much love and speculation as you have given for Mario in this one? Ik Mario, Zelda, and Metroid Prime content gets views like hotcakes because clearly, that’s what everyone wants, and I won’t discount that I do too. It’s just right now, this year is a big year for DK, and we should be talking about him as such. especially as you said in this vid, DK is kinda dead right now, which confuses and discomforts me, as it’s been 10 years since tropical freeze, 25 years since DK64, and 30 since OG DKC. If you ask me, all those things should be driving folks to talk about him even more than we do now. I personally hope the next DK game is a 3D adventure like DK64 but even bigger, with that open world feel and the return of the Kremlings and K.Rool. good video as always and I hope you take this comment into consideration for a future vid!

There is a possibility that the next Mario is revealed in early 2025 because the switch was revealed 2 years before it's actual release, so if they did that to the switch 2, it would be kind of awkward if they showed off the new 3D Mario before the official release, making people wait 2 years for it when they might think it comes out on original switch.

It would be announced but I would say fall and just like Mario Odyssey we would see clips of it in the reveal of Switch Successor.

I see that he checked the sponsorship box this time. He's been forgetting to do so in his older videos. It's nice to see.

I dunno about you Nin10doland, but when Switch 2 games come to mind, all I think about is Splatoon 4

Its been 7 years since Super Mario Odyssey, so I really hope the Switch 2 is launching with a 3D Mario platformer. Mario is definitely a good choice to launch with. His games have always sold well.

I would say if a new 3D Mario game were releasing alongside the next console, the only chance we'd see it at this June direct would be a short little teaser to end off the direct and then they would show more about it at the September direct. Then they might have one more presentation for it before the console. Saying that the console would release early 2025, it would also be a good opportunity for the next Mario Kart to release as a holiday game. It makes sense, but we don't know.

in all seriousness, i genuinely think you have made about 10 videos on this unannounced and rumoured 3D mario game that’s not even confirmed to exist, and we are only FOUR full months into the year. you don’t even make videos theorising and giving in depth ideas on what you would like. it’s always videos titles things like “THE NEXT 3D MARIO GAME LOOKS CRAZY” and you spend 10 minutes being like “how about this mechanic” (doesn’t elaborate on it) “or this” etc. you clearly love talking about this stuff, so why not make videos actually going over ideas you have. make the videos more transformative. and stop the clickbait. you’re not an idiot.

Apparently the recent leak suggest the Switch 2 will have 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, meaning it'll be faster than the Steam Deck, more powerful than the PS4 and will be more close to the PS4 Pro in terms of power than say an Xbox One X, though thanks to Nvidia it could be easier to work on. Also, storage is around 258GB which kinda sucks if true but hey, still better than what we got with the first Switch

I disagree We new about breath of the wild forever even if it was originally known as zelda wii u. It got to the point where for ages nothing was really being said and nobody cared. It wasn't untill the game started actually getting trailers years later thst people actually got hype Shorter game cycles (like 3 - 4 months at most) are what really get people hype.it's that 1, 2, punch that does it. Games announce, game trailers are shown then the game is just out there and you can play it
