Dude, Pokémon was the same way. The Let's Go games were the first Pokémon games for the a console and not a handheld. However, Switch can be played in handheld mode and Switch Lite is only handheld. It should have been named Nintendo No Switch because it couldn't connect to your TV and that defeated the purpose. There was no switching between TV and handheld. Anyway, now all Pokémon games are console games!

@@Number1SethRollinsFan I think you misunderstood what I said, Mario & Luigi are currently only on handheld systems so if Nintendo announced it, it would be the console day view for the series. Pokémon was already on consoles back in the n64 era.

I hope it's a package deal with bower and partners in time. I'd buy them all

I'd be all for an All-Stars styled release of the series on Switch and/or its successor, especially if it includes both the original and DX versions of SS and BiS instead of only one or the other. An all new PiTDX as a stand alone release to go with it or as part of the collection would also be really cool, but that's pushing it a bit too far for expectations.

I would heart attack if Wario was playable in a new Mario and Luigi game

The series is on hiatus for more than 5 years now and those games introduced me to the rpg genre. It was so cool that instead of some RNG everything was in your hand... Hitting, avoiding and even counterattacking. This formula was to great to die and it absolutely deserves a comeback.

I wouldn't mind a compilation, seems like a good idea if they want to slowly revive this story

The thing about M&L RPG is that unlike Paper Mario you can almost make any wacky adventure for the bros and it feels like it fits in the world. I just hope that if we do get a new game it’ll still keep the magic

It may not matter if they are back or not i dont know a lot about how business works in these kinds of things but i do believe that since nintendo owned the characters in the mario franchise and all its games alpha dream was only a company nintendo hired to help make the games in this particular series and alpha dream could not legally make these games with out nintendos permision but that also if nintendo wanted to continue the series they couldnt hire another developer for it as part of their deal but when alpha dream went out of business that changed things and now if they believe the series is worth continuing they can work with other companies to make them

If they'll do a remake of one of the games, I hope they'll go with Partners in time, that's my top 2 favourite Mario and Luigi game and I belive it deserves to be remade more than any other game now

But what better way to hype fans up for a new movie which, if the leak is anything to go by, depicts Mario and Luigi going on an adventure together… …Than with a new game in an RPG series where Mario and Luigi go on adventures together?

I hope that we get a remake of Mario & Luigi Partners in Time if this leak is true. With how Nintendo has brought back Super Mario RPG with a remake and then Paper Mario with the Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door Remake it makes me think that Partners in Time will be the next Mario RPG game to get a remake.

So since a Mario & Luigi game has been announced this year, maybe it could come out sometime in 2025 for the switch 2. That’s just my guess.

Man Mario&Luigi bowsers inside story is still probably my favorite DS game of all time!!! Just such a joy to play and the comedy in those games is just so funny throughout the series. If those games came back I would be sooo happy

Imagine a game where mario and luigi must fight previous bosses from previous game titles say princess shroob, cackletta, and fawful as examples. This would be a great throwback

I would love a new Mario & Luigi games in their classic style, but (just spit-balling here) I wouldn't complain if there was a jump to a 3D Mario & Luigi adventure rpg game as a launch title for the next console (especially if we could still get the classic 2d games as well at some point)

They’ve actually hired some devs from the old alpha dream studio. So when we get a new Mario and Luigi game, not if, when, It’s likely going to be a launch title or a first year title for the switch 2. Now you said that you don’t want to see superstar saga again, but I think that if they made a compilation of all the games with a 6th installment sold along with it (similar to how they did it with bowsers minions but just another Mario and Luigi game) and they could revive life and hype into the franchise that way because it’s pretty old and hard to get your hands on somewhat.

I CANT WAIT I LOVE THE SERIES

every once in a while I search mario and luigi on youtube hoping that there is some news about a new game or anything, and when I looked today I saw your video and I was very happy

A M&L collection would go crazy, I would buy that in a heartbeat! I love every game in that series, I've replayed most of them at least 5 times each. Doing it again on the big screen (legally this time, lol) would be awesome

Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga remake for Switch could work. Emphasize on could. The main reason the recent remakes flopped has more to do with few people even playing their 3DS's anymore compared to the Nintendo Switch than it does the actual quality of the titles. But I do agree making a more original Super Mario game that's not Paper Jam and is more fresh of it just being Mario and Luigi being playable.

Thank god this is one of my favorite matio series

I hope so but Alpha Dream went broke BEFORE Partners in Time COULD get a 3DS remake OF it.

I think if the series does come back, Partners in Time will get an enhanced remake just like the original Mario and Luigi and Bowser’s Inside Story. They obviously skipped Partners on the 3DS remakes because something huge seemed to be planned for it given how there are frozen Shroobs in Inside Story.

I think a hand-drawn artstyle in the style of WL:Shake It would make sense. It would have the same energy as the old games with the black outlines, yet being more modernised.

Mario And Luigi Party, if it is real, could imply there's a large number of characters that join Mario and Luigi on their adventure, like Peach, Bowser, Donkey Kong, or even Wario and Waluigi. I'd LOVE for Mallow and Geno to be included, but I don't want to get anyone's hopes up.

If they do make a new Mario and Luigi game, I want the combat to be similar like Superstar Saga where the bros make up their own attacks instead of finding attack pieces or whatever, and a story similar to Bowser’s Inside Story, with an original villain.

As a Mario & Luigi RPG KZreadr, this would blow my mind if there is another game.

I think Nintendo should announce a new game and a compilation at the same time, with the compilation releasing much sooner than the new game

If it does come, it would have to come to the new console, as the last time a Mario and Luigi game released, they put it on the 3ds, killing AlphaDream.

Super Mario RPG was the first game in a series (would be series but eventually became Paper Mario), Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door is the second game in that series. So maybe Mario & Luigi remake would be the third game in it's series which would be Bowser's Inside Story I think. But the remake already exists so hopefully it will be something new
