Domingo the most soulful. Carreras the most elegant. Pavarotti the most forceful. All three, legends.

I would never in a million years thought I'd be an opera fan, but this truly turned me. I well up with emotion every time I hear it...absolutely amazing
There are many tenors around the world who can sing this, but the charisma and dramatic presence of The Three Tenors will never be surpassed. The three together are electrifying, and Luciano tops just about everyone's list as the greatest tenor who ever lived. He will always be celebrated for his great charitable works as well. A great and wonderful human being.

Pavarotti had the most powerful voice of all the tenors. His high C is the highest. His voice reached God.
I think the conductor is 1 millisecond before getting an heart attack of too much joy and pleasure. Being there must have been an absolute blast. What a great person AND musician, whatever comes first.

I believe it's possible even now to make an informal comment about someone you admire on the Internet, without running a gauntlet of self-important trolls and pedants. But I may be wrong...
When this was performed for the World Cup, I was standing in a bar in southern England with about 150 blokes who were alternating between stunned silence and uncontrolled weeping 32 years later and there's still weeping whenever this is played around me
Even though they’ve preformed with him countless times, they always look at Pavarotti in awe.

S Dew For real! Zubin Mehta is a fantastic conductor.
It just cracks me up how the other two look like they have to ‘get ready’ for their parts, they are so serious... meanwhile when it’s Luciano’s turn, he just leans over to the mic like he’s about to chit chat, finishes his part, then gazes over at the stars. He couldn’t be more laid back if he were sipping a bottle of wine!

The passing of time will never diminish the quality of these three voices. I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned the 'moment' that says it all for me in this video. Pavarotti is in full voice, magnificent tone at around 1:10 holding the note, and it is the raised eyebrows and sideways glance and smile from Jose at 1:15 that says it all. He knew he was in the presence of greatness. We'll wait a long time before we hear the like of Pavarotti again.

Imagine if you could transport back to these times. Paradise lost?, or I'm just getting old.
When Pavarotti comes in on this aria, the extent of human emotion and the sound of the world's well opening is heard. Truly a holy cow moment!
One of the most beautiful pieces of music ever sung. This never fails to give me chills!!
PAVAROTTI IS LIKE JUPITER SINGING ON EARTH WITH THUNDER & LIGHTNINGS. Domingo and Carreras are like Ares and Helios joining him. BRAVO!!! Still unequalled and unsurpassed until now.
I too showed this piece to dear 90 old father. I brought him to tears. I brings out y tears each time I watch it, and I thank God for my ability to hear
Sorry for your loss the three tenors are great I love this song
I don't know what brings me to tears more about this performance; the clarity of Pavarotti, the maestro, the fact they are agreeing between who sings what part of the finale while the orchestra are playing or the sheer joy and exuberance of Zubin Mehta conducting, he surely knew he was a part of possibly the finest rendition of Nessun Dorma ever...
This performance continues to remove the top of my head, every time I listen to or watch it. It is one of the greatest moments in musical history. We can get a sense of it, as passive observers, at the distance that technology inevitably keeps us. But to actually have been there? To be in that audience when that moment was created? To have heard those voices come together like that? Live and in the flesh? Never to be repeated? That must be a profound experience that only those who were actually there can fully appreciate. Thanks heavens it was captured for posterity. But what I would have given to have witnessed it first hand.
Luciano Pavarotti sings it so effortlessly.
Immortally beautiful! The 3 are truly gifts from heaven.
The most beautiful piece of music I have ever heard in my whole entire life. I only wish that I could have seen them perform this live. This song is one of the things getting me through these rough times. God bless 🙏
Lifts me to the stars. How could you not enjoy this , life is made up of moments and this is one of the most outstanding.RIPLuciano for you are surely up with angels.
There is no words to convey the absolute effortless perfection and stunning beauty of Pavarotti"s voice!! So sad that we have absolutely no one in his class on the planet anymore. RIP maestro.
Pavarotti sings with the apparent ease of a man taking a cool drink of water

This Aria, These 3 legendary voices, backed up by 2 full scale orchestras, with such awesome power, conducted by maestro Mehta, performed admirably that had the composer Puccini lived to see this day, would have been proud to have witness such a wonderful performance.
Il y a des moments magiques comme celui-ci, inoubliable après des années...
After all these years, I still get chills. I can't begin to imagine what it was like being there.
It was my Italian grandmother’s favorite and my uncle sang it at my wedding in Scotland!! Even the Scots loved it!!!
Two things come to mind in this video the sideways glance from Jose, the way Pavarotti is basking in the greatness of his fellow tenors and the way Domingo gives it his all. It says it all coming from 3 of the best Tenors ever. :)
WONDERFUL!!! PAVAROTTI WAS GREAT!!
I think this goes down as one of the top performances, each in their own would be brilliant but all 3 together
Listening to these men always makes me feel better, and I love watching Jose Carreras as the music courses through him. His whole body changes as he sings. Thank you, to each of you.
This is and always will be Pavarotti’s aria... no one will ever sing this aria with the passion, depth and intensity as he did... ever!
Every time I listen to this I actually hold my breath just before the last note...gives me goosebumps every time. All three are beyond great, their voices touch my soul
