While I support this channel (and will even donate to any link you provide) I don't really like the thumbnail saying "Masonic secrets revealed", kind of seems like w'ere trivializing the oaths we took. Furthermore isn't this video just straight up saying the second degree in public? How does that reconcile with the oaths we took? If we can fully disclose this on KZread then what can't we disclose?

Respectfully, I understand your point but there are a few things to consider. First, this is a podcast that is an audio version of an article from the Scottish rite journal- likely the most widely read periodical in masonry. It wouldn’t have been published if there was private info in it. Secondly, again, your opinion is your opinion. But Grand Lodges get to decide on this and they have decided that the private information is limited so things outside the symbols. Finally it says “architecture secrets”. Which is different than Masonic secrets. I also hate the word secret. Our modes of recognition and other similar things are private. But most everything else is open for discussion.

@@ScottishRiteMasons If you hate the word "secret" then why is it constantly used in your thumbnails? You do agree that Masonry is intended to have secrets, right? Like we're not just about handshakes and "modes of recognition"....... Second, if we can fully disclose this on KZread then what can't we disclose? Might as well just video the entire 2nd degree and put it on youtube at this point

The titles come from the articles. As for what can’t we say- signs, words, tokens, obligations. You don’t have to like it or agree. We are free to disagree. But Grand lodges do get to make the call. And they have. So. If it’s something that troubles you, get involved with your grand lodge.
