The Teton Crest Trail Experience in 4k.... "Your thoughts create your reality" w/ Dr. Joe Dispenza

Teton Crest Trail- arguably the best 40 miles of backcountry this country has to offer. The lakes, peaks, canyons, waterfalls, and wildflowers will leave you breathless. I found myself in awe for the whole 3 days we spent in Grand Teton National Park. Around every corner was another astonishing view. With a total of 9,681 feet total ascent and 10,779 feet total descent and a high point of 10,645 feet on Paintbrush Divide, this hike is burly. Join my friends and I as we explore all that Grand Teton National Park has to offer.
We obtained permits to camp on Death Canyon Shelf as well as North Cascade Canyon.
The Tetons have been my happy place for many, many years. I tried to do them justice.
All footage was recorded by myself. If you are interested in copies or prints send all inquiries to StepsfortheSoul@gmail.com

    W. O. W. I've watched hundreds of hiking videos, maybe thousands in the last year since I got into hiking and backpacking, and this is the absolute best thing I've ever seen. Period. The explanation of the power of thoughts and energy combined with SPECTACULAR videography is perfect! I will watch this several times and I look forward to watching more of your videos. You have enhanced my life.

Great video-very well done. I was fortunate to have been the District Ranger for a little over 6 years responsible for managing the South District of Grand Teton National Park which included all of the backcountry you traversed. I have been retired for years, but have hiked that loop many, many times. You brought back so many memories! Thank you for sharing your experiences. So glad you all enjoyed your experience. As you shared in your video, hiking in such wonderful places helps all who do so to maintain a better perspective of how we fit in to these special places and certainly enriches our lives at the same time. Taking the time to understand nature and the natural world leads to appreciation. Appreciation leads to protection so that those that follow us can enjoy, understand, appreciate and protect these special places so that those that follow us have opportunities to experience what we have in the future. Thanks again for sharing your experiences, your thoughts, and imagery of these special places in such a well-done fashion. By the way-I understand so well the "burger and beer" thought you shared at the end of your journey. Look forward to seeing more of your adventures. Well done.

Thank you so much for your kind words. Your message resonated with me. I'm so glad the video brought back those fond memories. It is true. The more time you spend in those mountains, the more you appreciate them. I have always called it "nature therapy." Being out there seems to put everything into perspective. Everything just makes sense. These Parks are some of our most valuable resources. For the mental clarity it can bring to a world full of chaos. So glad you stumbled across my channel. Stay in touch. Working on a few new videos coming out soon.🙂

This video was mid-July. Each year is different, but there is a 3 week premium window. Mid July to 1st week of August. The passes have melted out, and the flowers are booming. Alot of pressure for permits this time of year. Shoot for Death Canyon Shelf and North/South Cascade camping zones. If unsuccessful, look into Fox Creek Pass and Alaska basin camping areas( no permit needed) to make your trip work. Best of luck! Let me know how it goes🙂

Ive got to hit this trail.......did you stay the night in Jackson Hole before heading out??? How was the permit process?

  • @stepsforthesoul

Yes you do! I lived a couple of hours from Jackson Hole so we drove up the morning of. You pick up your permits at the GTNP ranger station the morning of the hike. You will need to stage a car at String Lake or find a shuttle service to bring you back to trailhead. Permits are open now and in high demand. Get online and see if you can find permits for Death Canyon Shelf, and North Cascade Canyon. Alaska Basin is a good permit free spot between those two. Hope it all works out for ya. Reach out to me on IG with any other questions.

If I have to die somewhere, and at 60, that seems likely, I’d like to be carried up to Death Canyon and see all that as I close my eyes.

This was middle of July on a mild year. Got super lucky with a window of no smoke and the wildflowers were peaking. This year the snow pack is unreal so Id shoot for end of July/beginning of August. But yes, it is a place you need to see with your own eyes. Best of luck!

Hey Doc, I see what you did here (as I echo all of the positive vibes in the comments here as well as that of my own share / research within my networks) and I would love to connect: thanks so much for the inspiration which drips out of the narrative, imagery, comradery, adventure + more, and to say the least, I have an idea. I see you on LinkedIn but I do not have enough cred to connect there. I will submit a request on your website and keep my fingers crosed it finds it way to you. Alternatively, please let me know if you have any ideas on how we can connect? Cheers, David

This was middle of July. Conditions like this hike can happen a lil earlier or a lil later depending on previous winters snowpack. End of July is always a great time to shoot for this hike.
