Like Rory said, the tires make all the difference. "Comparing" two cars, one with and one without slicks, really biases things. Also, the more turns there are, the more that driver skill matters - the same driver should drive both, removing yet another difference and making it more of a true comparison between to specific cars. That said, for a shot at the lap record, nothing matters but the time.

I didn't care for their tune at all - but you can customize it for performance without killing the road feel. There is a lot left on the table. I had a controller on my 1le and now I have one on my PP2 Mustang. It's a game changer.

Sorry, state of charge typically doesn't effect power till it gets down around 30% or so and range extending profiles are enacted, the bigger issue is going to be heat in the battery. I have driven/ tested Tesla's (and other EV's) on track and they really are only good for about 1 lap before heat starts causing a power reduction, as you see in the display, the battery got hot and it seemed to not accel as hard onto the front straight after turn 9 (last turn). Still a very impressive build. I know Jessie as well, a very good man, I am happy to see him doing well.

Too many people are riding the coats tails of Tesla and not actually building their own real builds... If anyone says "But this is the best motors you can get!" Ok... then find a way to add 3 motors, with custom torque vectoring. Add the Aero package of an LMP1 from LeMans. That is true, technically it goes faster with a lighter tank. But a petrol V12 is also a BITCH to maintain, and racing it takes years of its life. Launching one is so traumatic to the motor & transmission that companies limit how many launches you can do before you void your warranty. EVs don't care - launching and racing doesn't hurt the motor one bit.
