    I love seeing more options of fun, functional e bikes! I don't see the Talaria being different enough to swap from my Sur Ron, but if I was buying fresh it would probably have the edge just because of the size and being able to fit a wider rear tire.

    I've had both sur-ron and Talaria. I own a Talaria now, it's more comfortable because it's bigger and the battery cover blends in with the seat more like a regular dirtbike. In defense of the sur-ron I don't think there are problems with the belt secondary drive until you add way more power x3, if then. My Talaria came with CST full knob tires. I'm pretty sure the owner of that bike added the Shinko dual-sport tires. I use the same tires and a 52 tooth sprocket.

    Lost me at oil change. I put over 7000 miles on a 72v Segway x260 in less than a year just ripping around on my free time. Running 15000 watts, only thing I’ve had to replace is the tires. Sure to each their own, but the hype for the surron/Segway is there for a reason. Great vid tho! Love the content and loved the review

    Actually, now I did a ride and review of the first Talaria Sting in Thailand I really like it. Oil change in that gearbox is no issue really, very quick 120ml every 1000Km. It's stronger frame is nice. However I am keeping my Sur Ron as the Talaria is too expensive here, as it's a lot more for some reason. The Sur Ron is more agile and flickable.

  • @gritred5500
    @gritred55002 жыл бұрын

    Add a comment... Grit Red 1 second ago You said turning radius is shorter but because the sting has a wider front the steering bumps up to the fatter front and there wheel does turn as far. The back has play in the bolt. The gear box is yet to be proven less maintenance as it may be a failure point. The reason the sting has more punch at the low end is because the throttle was not mapped properly. The throttle is not considered an improvement as it is more difficult to turn and people complain about it. the motor was shown in a break down to be identical except for a couple small inconsequential differences. The battery is more power per pound so that is considered a higher power density. the seat is considered to be more comfortable but the bike weight makes it more difficult to throw the bike around and load into a vehicle. these are from comments i’ve read fyi.

    The price point is worth it for the compaines because they are making a lot of money. Theres almost no chance stock factory bikes will drop in price. Youre going to want the aftermarket reseller market to get bigger so that you can find cheaper used bikes. Thats the inly way to get into it with paying over 4k. These bikes are unique and are in a class of their own. Premium mtn bike parts plus primium dirt bike mods. Theres no way the price drops. On the DT X2 where the steering column meets the deck, 6 small screws hold the entire front of the scooter, that´s the weak point on these scooters. Other than that I love my DT x2 UP, definitely not for hard offroad only light trails at low speed. for real offroad fun and go to inaccessible areas, I want the Kuberg Ranger!

    1.Talaria initial surge of power due to unrefined, the increase of torque is not gradually like Sur ron. 2.The front wheel tend to flip but hard to maintained a wheelie, but you really need 72v to sustained a wheelie. 3.It has a thicker frame but top speed is the same as Sur ron. 4. higher sitting possition and higher motor clearance for better extreme trail riding. 5. the one plug sounds good but Talaira has less copper contact.. Final thoughts: its too similar to buy another ebike (Talaria) if you already own a Sur ron. If you like riding in extreme trails that required higher clearance, than Talaria is for you. Otherwise, I would choose a Sur ron.
