"It is just good for everyone to see what we see" are some of the few famous words said by Danny in many years of doing commentary and being a IM.

It was easy to overlook the tactic everyone saw, Danny included, that he wanted us to see. Because we might of missed it; the tactic everyone, including Danny, saw.

Fabi: "Robert, are we looking at the same possible tactic here?" Hess: "Yea............." Fabi: "I don't think it works, though." Hess: "You don't?" Danny, mercifully getting Robert off the hook: "Let's show everybody!" Hess: *Laughs with relief as Fabi demonstrates the tactic he totally definitely also saw*

Exactly. Especially given that I was immediately of the opinion that this blatantly obvious tactic wouldn't work. I guess I'm supposed to find it it reassuring that Fabi eventually confirmed my suspicions, but still....
Ahhh, so this is the tactic I saw. Yes, right.
Pretty gud commentary for the 2021 Hess Hampionship.
This was too good.
Danny is the best. I saw it too, Danny!
Thanks Danny, you and Simon are the best
Ah yes everyone saw it it is definitely a 600 rated tactic
How about Rfe1 in the final position? Pinning the e-pawn, and after Rd8 you play Rxe5, ending with two pieces for a rook, which is winning.
Curious why Stockfish still thinks it's winning for White in both scenarios of the tactic "working" and "not working"
Sounds like Danny needs to do more puzzles!
Saw same as danny
Hillarious !
This was too damn funny
I still couldn't see the tactic 😂
hahaha brilliant from danny
Every move/tactic/strategy is EASY when you see it, the problem is always the same: see it.
Engine bar shows white as better, but it doesn't make sense to me. If the queen gets deflected, the c5 knight drops and black should just be up a pawn. Maybe Nxe5 Nxe5, and although material equality has been restored, white has a great bishop and pressure on g7. But it seems like Nxe5 Re8 would present white with the same deflection issue.
@thedrakensangtank

Nxe5, Nxe5, Rfe1 looks strong. Nxe5, Rd8 you mean? I guess Ncd7 wins in that case
@synchronium24

@@thedrakensangtank "Nxe5, Nxe5, Rfe1 looks strong" I think you're right. A pin on the e5 knight which can be followed up with f4. "Nxe5, Rd8 you mean?" Yes. "I guess Ncd7 wins in that case" As far as I can tell this gives back the piece straight away since black has 3 attackers on the knight compared to white's two defenders. If white has any advantage, then it's not based on extra material.
