I can tell Fabi held back and made more moves then was necessary. It could have been much more devastating with the two pawns being pushed like that cause the white bishop was actually trapped but he didn't push them. It was interesting to see how he used them to open him up instead of pushing the pawns and taking pieces.

Great game.. Interestingly during the opening Fabiano willingly gives up a bishop for a knight but later passes on taking knight for a pawn.. Early mid game BM blunders giving up a bishop on a poorly developed board!! Its a weird game from the beginning and it will end quickly I think that Boston Mike's blunder sealed the game, I'm not sure what would of changed the outcome here B Mike there wasn't much strategy here he simply went for cornering you on a weak board maybe bringing in a rook might of helped.. When I first saw their channel, some years ago, it seemed a bit strange to see these (relatively) lower level chess players sorta acting like they were great players, but it's entertaining. And you gotta hand it to them, they are willing to play anyone, and do it with style, even when being very much outmatched. Watched a lot of their videos, so they must be doing something right :) Heck, they are kinda famous now, to people who watch chess online.

You asked what was the line that white could have used to keep an advantage?? After the captures in the center it all evens out and it is completely equal. There is no advantage. This is a very solid and reliable line as black to counter English 1.c4 2.Nc3, even Anand used Bb4 for along time as black.

At 3:18 black could’ve done Queen f2, then white has to move King to h1, and Black moves Queen g2 for checkmate.
