The suzuki cappuccino is finally all one piece! Keippucino? Crappuccino?

It feels good to see the kei car coming together and nearly all in one piece! Finally got all the welding done and put some seam sealer on the repairs.

Good on you for barging on through without obsessing on perfection. You show you care about doing a good job as you learn and increase your skills. No need to apologize for your work but I appreciate your humble lack of arrogance. Shows you have intelligence and desire to be better.

Thank you so much for that high compliment! Perfect would have been great to achieve, but solid and strong is a great consolation prize!

I've seen much worse from reputable shops! If it's as strong as new I'd call it a win.

The more parts I get back on the car, the more it feels like a win! Getting closer to an actual, non-sketchy test drive.

What is seam sealer for? To keep moisture out? It's more durable than paint in that regard or something?

The seam sealer adds a layer of protection and a little bit of flexibility to the base. It also covers up a mutitude of sins. Kei car metal is savagely thin, and really hard to weld and finish perfectly with no filler. On a fender, it wouldn't be acceptable to use. In this scenario, it serves a purpose. It's an 'honest' repair, that lets you know work has been done instead of hidden.
