Музыка
The Supremes sing The Star-Spangled Banner at The Las Vegas Convention Center, before the Muhammad Ali and Ron Lyle fight in May 16, 1975.

They nailed it. #Supremes
Best Supremes after original three. Excellent harmonies. All three really singing - and a cappella no less!
I love the harmonies! True pros such as Cindy Birdsong, Scherrie Payne and founding member Mary Wilson rise to the occasion under even the most challenging circumstances. 🕊 Rest in Power, Ms. Wilson. 🕊 Her alto is beautiful and prominent here. I'm so glad I had the pleasure of experiencing her live show in Detroit in 2012 with my mother, who joined her on stage during "Stop! In the Name of Love."
I read in Mary Wilson's second book that they were suppose to sing along with music. But her her husband/manager messed up and didn't provide the music, so they had to sing a capella. You can see the look of relief Mary's face that they were able to pull it off.
Flawless! And I love Scherrie's phrasing at the end with the word brave
Beautiful Beautiful Harmonies from Mary Scherrie and Cindy 🌟🌟🌟🌟. They sung it so beautifully ❤️❤️❤️❤️.
How I love old-fashioned, but never out-of-date, three-part harmony. And they sang it beautifully with poise and a mixture of sweetness and power! I'll always love Flo, Diana, and Mary; but this lineup had a wonderful mixing of voices, in some ways even better than the original lineup - in my opinion.
They rose to the challenge! Beautiful. Harmonies so supreme!
Mary Wilson can be heard saying " the music please," then the horrified girls realized the music was missing in action. They were suddenly forced to do it a cappella, and they tore it up, it sounded like the original group ten years earlier. I never thought much of this group of Supremes, but have to admit they sounded terrific here, if only they'd had Holland/Dozier/Holland back to write and produce for them, they could've been superstars again.
They sound beautiful. I ♥️ the harmonies. It looks like they were thrown in this thing though, and singing it a capella came as a surprise, but still they nailed it. I think this is the Supremes formation that I liked the most after the originals: Diana, Flo, and Mary.

That is exactly what happened. Mary described this performance in Supreme Faith. Mary's husband had recently taken over the management of the group, and he somehow did not arrange for the music to be played nor did he notify the group prior to the performance that they will be singing a capella.
Beautiful Harmonies
Beautiful in all ways!!
THANK YOU for posting this!
They just needed great songs to sing.

Indeed.
One thing is true of the 70s Supremes, most especially after Pedro became manager: They were terribly mismanaged. This sort of incompetence would have been unheard of for "the girls" in 1969, but was found at times during these later years. Still, the 70s Supremes certainly had DRATS beat when it comes to sheer talent, harmonies, and the like.
I ❤️ the 70's SUPREMES! 💃💃💃 Mary Wilson ✔️ Cindy Birdsong ✔️ Jean Terrell ✔️ Lynda Lawrence ✔️ Scherrie Payne ✔️ Suzaye Green ✔️
