This is the last clip I have from the show. There is NO MORE! This performance proves that even without my favourite Supreme voice (Jean) the group still were Supreme!
Жүктеу.....

This was beautiful. I'll never understand why this song was not a bigger hit. It seems to have all of the elements of a hit. Although I was a child, I do not remember hearing it on the radio. Of course then I was not into too many slow cuts, so maybe I just ignored it. I like it now! (smile)

You never saw this lineup live? Let me tell you the ladies were simply beautiful and spectacular in person . . . they put on quite a show . . . saw this lineup quite a few times in person and was fortunate enough to meet all three of them at several venues . . . . seems just like yesterday . . . . . still have their autographs / pictures . . . and the memories.

I've got more - it just takes time to process the stuff from the old, OLD VHS & Beta tapes I have. Be patient, you willl see some more I promise! Stoned Love, Steve.

Angelic harmonies! This is a real treat. Never got to see this Supremes combo live. This should put an end to that "Mary can't sing" stuff. And I do like what Scherrie's doing (it's not Jean, but hey...), every singer likes to put their own stamp on a song. That end (and the very beginning) are killer!

This song is so lovely. I can't believe it stalled in the top 80 in the USA. :(

Yep, Me too. They also did "Refections" and Michael did "Love Is Here & Now You're Gone" both cuts are worthy of a mention. I also like the Tops version of Reflections but I love everything they've done - especially the "Nature Planned It" album produced by the brilliant Frank Wilson.

By the time this lineup came out, Berry Gordy was not promoting the Supremes at all. As great as this song was, it was doomed without promotion. The two follow-ups were written and produced by Smokey Robinson, so they were promoted and made the charts.

I like the Jackson Five's version of this song too.

Producer Frank Wilson wrote that song especially for Mary because he wanted her to start singing leads and he was capitvated by her voice.

Sometimes Scherrie just needs to chill and sing the song, though love it! Should have been a smash.

I think this is the best song the 70's Supremes ever did. It really shoulda been a monster soul ballad.
